Another Thursday, another throwback! 🎶

Today, we’re looking back at our 2026 Summer Youth Masterclass Series with an interview featuring teacher and mentor Roman Borys of the Gryphon Trio.

We were so fortunate to have Roman join us this summer, sharing his experience, insight, and love of music with the next generation. by @collingwoodfest

This month, the global celebration of voice marks our calendars. Honouring the power of human voice to tell stories, express emotion, and bring us together. 🎶

In that spirit, we’re looking back at some moments with the voice students from our Youth Masterclasses. There’s something special about young singers finding their confidence, exploring what their voices can do, and sharing that process with others.

Here’s to the students willing to step forward, the teachers who encourage them, and the joy of making music together. 🤍 by @collingwoodfest

Meet Emma-Kate Matthews, a composer, architect and musician exploring the fascinating connection between sound and space. 🎶

Blending acoustic and electronic instruments, she creates music shaped by the places where it’s performed, inviting us to consider how our surroundings influence what we hear.

Her work brings a fresh perspective to composition, where architecture and music become part of the same creative conversation. by @collingwoodfest

Today we celebrate World Artist Day, honouring the creativity, imagination, and voices that move us. 🎶

To mark the occasion, we’re looking back at a beautiful moment from this year’s festival, when poet Shelly Grace joined us on the Collingwood stage for the world premiere of a commissioned work by her uncle, Andy Milne. Inspired by her poem, “Try to Fly,” the piece brought poetry and music together in a deeply personal celebration of artistic expression.

A special moment to revisit, and a reminder of how one artist’s words can inspire another’s music. ❤️ by @collingwoodfest

Just a few tickets remain! 🎶 Join us on December 5 for an unforgettable evening with Men of the Deeps, North America’s only coal miners’ choir.

In honour of International Music Day, we’re looking back at some of the incredible artists who have performed at the Collingwood Music Festival, and the memories we’ve shared with you along the way. 🎶

The anticipation before the first note, a performance that gives you goosebumps, the applause that keeps going long after the final bow. These artists have given us so much to remember, and you’ve helped make each concert something special. ❤️

Swipe through for a few familiar faces, and tell us: which festival performance has stayed with you? by @collingwoodfest

As we share this land acknowledgement, we reflect on our responsibility to listen, learn, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation. 🧡 by @collingwoodfest

We’re not quite ready to think about snow, but December feels a little brighter with this concert on the calendar. ❄️🎶

Join us for an evening with North America’s only coal miners’ choir. Wearing their traditional hard hats and headlamps, they’ll bring Cape Breton stories and songs to the stage in a performance we can’t wait to share with you.

We’re almost sold out! Get your tickets while they are still available at www.collingwoodfestival.com

Meet Lydia Adams, one of the beating hearts behind the Elmer Iseler Singers. 🎶

An accomplished conductor and artistic director, Lydia has spent decades helping shape Canada’s choral landscape. Her remarkable contributions to arts and culture earned her an appointment to the Order of Canada in 2023. 🎖️

We had the pleasure of catching up with Lydia following the Elmer Iseler Singers’ performance at the 2026 Collingwood Music Festival. 🎶 by @collingwoodfest
