🚨 RACIALLY PROFILED. ASSAULTED. FALSELY ARRESTED. 🚨
My name is Onyx White and I’m a Black man who was racially profiled, harassed, assaulted, and arrested by State Trooper Yamin P. Sobrinho (Badge #4833) of the Massachusetts State Police.

She lied in her police report.
She assaulted me during a traffic stop.
Now the DA’s office is withholding the body cam footage to cover for her.
And I was hit with a $1,000 cash bail for a minor traffic offense.

This is systemic racism in action.
Not just one cop—but a system that protects officers over justice.
They silence our truth, withhold evidence, and criminalize us for just existing.

🛑 Every Black and Brown person in Massachusetts should know this trooper’s name.
🛑 She is armed, protected by a system, and dangerous to our communities.

We demand:
⚖️ Release the body cam footage
⚖️ Drop the false charges
⚖️ Fire Trooper Yamin P. Sobrinho
⚖️ End racial profiling by state police

Help me expose this abuse. Share this. Tag the news. Demand accountability.

From a Cell to a Signal: An Edward R. Murrow Award for “Don’t Judge Me”

I didn’t just tell my story. I told our truth.
And now, it echoes beyond bars and boundaries—
Honored with a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
From a 6x8 cell to a national stage.
From silence to sound.
From “you’ll never make it” to I already did.
“Don’t Judge Me” is more than a documentary.
It’s a mirror.
A mic.
A message for every kid told their past defines them.
I was 16 when they locked me up.
12½ years they gave me—
But they never owned my spirit.
I came home with no blueprint.
Just bars in my head and fire in my chest.
I wrote. I rapped. I dreamed. I acted. I healed.
I found power in my pain.
And turned my sentence into a stage.
This award?
It’s for the misjudged.
The misunderstood.
The forgotten youth still behind walls.
For Boston—my city, my compass.
For the movement. For the culture.
I am Onyx White.
And I’m not a statistic.
I’m a storyteller.
And I’m just getting started.

Just won a New England Emmy.
For a story that began in a prison cell… now echoing through television screens.

“Don’t Judge Me” — a documentary based on my truth, produced by GBH News, about a kid from Boston, locked up at 16, sentenced to 12½ years, but never sentenced in spirit.

I came home with nothing but a dream—
To make music.
To write scripts.
To act.
To speak up.
To live free.

I walked through systemic racism.
I survived the streets.
I endured the silence of a cell.
But I never let it break my mind.
Because freedom starts—and finishes—with your mind.

This award isn’t just mine—
It belongs to every person who’s ever been counted out.
To those still inside, still dreaming.
To the youth who feel forgotten.
And to my city Boston 🫶🏽🤞🏾👌🏾
I am Onyx White,
and I’m just getting started.
🙏🏾💫🎤🖋️🎭

Throughout history, the greatest teachers, leaders, and prophets faced massive rejection from the exact places they called home. Jesus, Muhammad, Moses—they all had to pack up, survive the wilderness, and change their surroundings to find the people who were actually ready to listen. When you start elevating, people who knew you back then will try to project their own limits onto you. No filters. No industry gimmicks. The truth is simple: you can’t heal, grow, or build what you refuse to confront. If you aren’t being celebrated where you are, it’s time to move forward taken in United States of America by @collldhearted3

🇺🇸 The United States needs to rethink the lifelong label of being a “felon.”
This issue has a long history. Felony laws and the way criminal records have been used have had a disproportionate impact on Black communities, but today millions of Americans of every race struggle under the same lifelong label.
People with felony convictions—or even open cases that have not resulted in a conviction—can lose jobs, be denied housing, be turned away from professional licenses, and face barriers to opportunities that are supposed to help them rebuild their lives.
I recently lost my job because of open criminal charges that I maintain are false. That experience forced me to ask a simple question: How can someone lose their livelihood over allegations that haven’t been proven, while at the same time the President of the United States, Donald Trump, has a felony conviction and is able to hold the highest office in the country?
Whether you agree with him politically or not, it highlights a contradiction in our system. If the highest office in America can be held by someone with a felony conviction, why are so many everyday Americans permanently shut out of employment, licensing, and second chances?
This isn’t just about me, and it isn’t just about Black Americans. It’s about fairness, equal opportunity, and whether our justice system is designed to punish people forever.
America believes in redemption. Our laws and hiring practices should reflect that.
It’s time to reform the way criminal records affect employment and opportunity, especially for people who have served their time, been wrongfully accused, or are still presumed innocent while their cases are pending.

WELCOME TO THE HOUSE OF HITS FILES 🎥🌴🎙️pt16
I took a trip to Miami and locked in at the legendary House of Hits studios to create something bigger than music… this is a real live experience. Raw moments, real emotions, real creativity, and the energy that comes with making records in one of the most iconic studios artists dream about recording in.
“Dead Wrong” is for everybody that’s been judged, doubted, counted out, and still kept going with their head high.
“They say I’m dead wrong, but I stay head strong…” 💯🖤
“The Message” speaks on the reality of our culture, accountability, and the importance of uplifting each other instead of destroying ourselves. We can’t heal what we refuse to confront.
“Real Nigga Habits” switches the vibe all the way up 🔥🍑 it’s a turn up anthem, late nights, dancing, confidence, and toxic energy all mixed into one. The type of record that make the room come alive.
I wanted to bring y’all inside the creative process and show what it really feels like creating in real time. No filters. No industry gimmicks. Just vibes, pressure, and music that comes from real life.
Miami gave me a different type of energy 🎥🖤🌴
