The 3rd and final song from our new ep Watch where the water flows is out NOW!!
Looking at the worlds current geopolitical situation its hard at times to not fall into a negative mindset. 'Good thing going' is written from the perspective of somebody who is not living in a conflict zone and has all their basic needs met and understands their privilege and luck to be born in a safe, first world country. Its all about gratitude! 'Good thing going' is available now on all streaming platforms and and we'll be thrashing it out live this Friday night at Otherwise bar Townsville at our big launch show to celebrate. Our new track EMERGENCE is out now!! Written and sung by Callum - here's a bit about the song:

Emergence was written during a time of emotional hardship and self-inflicted loneliness. Nothing inspires like heartbreak! This song in essence is about letting go, confronting and accepting our shadow, and finding joy in what remains. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I've enjoyed playing this with the lads, it was a lot of fun to create!

Its available on all streaming services and we'll be playing it at the big launch show at Otherwise bar Townsville 25th September - tickets in our Linktree! 😃

FILMCLIP DROP!!!
Its here - finally here The video for 'Watch where the water flows'!
I started on this back in about February and I honestly don't know how many hours I've put into it. But that doesn't matter - im really stoked with how its turned out! I always had an idea to try to loosely tell the songs story using old silent era movies. The idea was the easy part - actually finding films that had father & son scenes in them and were in the Public Domain (older than 75 years) so I could use them royalty free, was the hard part. I found an awesome website called Internet Archive and after hours of searching through so many old movies (plus too many side journeys down rabbit holes looking at stuff like: TV shows from the 50s, Hitler on holidays before WWII and early 20th Century stag films!) I decided on two great old films - 'The Man who laughs' (1928) a German film based on the Victor Hugo book and interestingly, it is supposedly the inspiration for The Joker character from the Batman comics. The story is about a boy who's face is disfigured by gypsies so he can beg to earn them money, who grows up to be a travelling carnival freak. He goes through many trials and tribulations to find love againt uncertain odds. This film has some great dark scenes with bodies on gallows and the boys father being put to death in the Medievel 'Iron Lady' torture device - ooff!!
The other film I used scenes from is the DW Griffith movie 'The Avenging Concience' (1914). It tells the story of a young man who murders his father to seek an early inheritance and win the hand of the girl he loves. Soon though, he is overwhelmed with guilt, experiences satanic type visions and wishes more than anything that he could repent and bring his father back. Check out the great scenes of demons, ghouls & witches at the end of the filmclip from this movie! All of the silent movie scenes were then edited into a clip of the band playing the song in our jam room.
Even though I used some pretty dark scenes in the clip, my song ultimately has a positive and uplifting message.

NEW SINGLE DROP!!
'Watch where the water flows' is out today and available on all streaming platforms!!
We hope you like our new single as much as we like playing it 😀
Here's a bit of background on the song:
Sometimes we divert a river or we dam it to build houses in that area. But when heavy rains come, dams can burst and rivers can break their banks and the water will flow back to where it came from - washing away everything in its path.
A decision we make now, can years later have an unintended impact - sometimes a big impact.
Watch where the water flows is a metaphor for unintended consequences that can totally derail us in life. Especially in families.
The riffs for this song have existed for quite a while - infact this song had a completely different set of words to begin with. Late last year during a rough time in his life, the current words for this song came easily for singer/songwriter Dylan, pouring out of him in just under a week. In some ways its a note to self.
The ancient Norse symbol 'The web of wyrd' represents how past actions shape the present and the present shapes the future. In Watch where the water flows, the chorus says 'It's coming back for you and all you hold onto, watch where the water flows, its gonna wash right through you!'
Hindsight is a great thing but we can't change the past. We can only be in the now and keep pushing forward with love and understanding.
