Finesse fishing for zander in the harbour!
When the classic jigging technique doesn’t produce, it’s time to switch things up!
Rigging a 10 cm @fishimpact Buddy shad on a lightweight, lead-free @kuusamonuistin jighead, I switched to two finesse techniques: slow rolling and mid-strolling.
By keeping the lure moving naturally and slowly through the water column, you can trigger bites from zander that ignore more aggressive presentations. Sometimes, a subtle change in technique is all it takes to get the fish biting!
Have you tried slow rolling or mid-strolling for zander yet?

Autumn streets, active perch and absolutely savage strikes! 💥🔥 Nothing beats the thrill of hunting perch in the city when they’re feeding aggressively.

A few beautiful perch fooled with the Kuusamo UFO – SIIRA lead-free jighead, paired with the FishImpact Rodvibe Shad. A deadly combo when the perch are fired up!

Evening session on Lake Hindsen in southern Sweden. 🌧️🇸🇪

The forecast wasn’t looking great, but my @dirtlej suit kept me completely dry from start to finish. 💪

The pike, on the other hand, couldn’t resist the 18 g @kuusamonuistin Taimen Spinner. After a short but powerful fight, this beautiful lady was ready for a quick photo before being released to fight another day.

With the small Kuusamo KUF-LIPPA spinner, success 🍀 is always within reach. It regularly attracts hungry little perch, but every now and then an old warrior just can’t resist it either.
Sometimes, the smallest lure delivers the biggest smiles 😊

Morning session on Lake Hindsen 🇸🇪
🌧️ Rain couldn’t keep me off the water.
My @dirtlej suits keeps dry and comfotable 🤘🏻
This pike absolutely smashed my Kuusamo Räsänen spoon in the shallow weeds. What an explosive strike and an incredible fight on the Fenwick HMG spinning rod!

Moments like these make every rainy morning worth it.

The Kuusamo Räsänen never dissapoints! delivers. 🇫🇮💪🏼

Another unforgettable morning on the beautiful Swedish lakes with my wife, and once again the legendary Kuusamo Räsänen proved why it has earned its reputation. This stunning pike simply couldn’t resist this awesome lure.

After an amazing fight, she was safely released to fight another day, catch & release as always.

A big thank you to @veerlevandespiegle for capturing 📸 this special moment.

Proud to represent Team Kuusamo and fish with lures that continue to perform wherever predators swim.

Street fishing is all about keeping things simple. A small bag filled with @kuusamonuistin lures, a sensitive @palms_global rod, and a reliable @gunki_official landing net with a long handle are all you need to catch a few urban predators.

Exploring canals, rivers, and harbors right in the heart of the city can be surprisingly rewarding. Many passers-by are amazed when they see fish being caught and often find it hard to believe that these predators live in the city center. Yet beneath the busy streets and crowded sidewalks, species such as perch, pike, and zander thrive in urban waters.
Again, a Kuusamo ufo-siira #jighead combined with a FishImpact buddy #shad was the key to unlock the fish.

Friday evening session after work…
Nothing beats a quick cast after a long day at work. The conditions looked promising, so I headed to the water for a short session.

The winning combination tonight was a UFO-SIIRA jighead by @kuusamonuistin paired with a Buddy Shad by @fishimpact . That setup proved irresistible and tempted this beautiful 75cm zander into striking!

A great reminder that even a short after-work trip can turn into a memorable catch. 🔥

Sunday evening zander session 🎣

Took my sensitive Japanese 🇯🇵 Palms rod back to the harbour to tempt a few zander with the shads from @fishimpact . The session wasn’t easy and it took some searching, but we managed to find the fish again.

This one couldn’t resist the subtle taps of the shad along the bottom. The bite was unmistakable, followed by a great fight on light tackle, exactly the kind of action that makes every cast worthwhile.

First day after the closed season, and what a way to kick things off! 🔥
The perfect moment to test some new lures from @kuusamonuistin Finland 🇫🇮.
This 70mm / 20g Räsänen has already shown exactly why it’s such a legendary lure across Scandinavia.
🐊 Pike absolutely hammer it! No hesitation, no second thoughts, just aggressive strikes and solid hook-ups.
Even better, they consistently get hooked perfectly in the corner of the mouth, making for safe and efficient catch-and-release.
After just one session, it’s easy to see why the Räsänen has earned its reputation as a true pike killer. 💥
Who else is starting the season with new tackle?

Dark night 🌙 ✨, empty streets, just the glow of the streetlights… then bam 💥 a solid bite. 🎣
The zander was on, slipping through a few times before finally landing it.
Quick catch & release, back into the night where it belongs 🌊
