I finally finished my uniform, obtained new gear and a wig for Colossal and I couldn’t be more thrilled. The biggest of thanks to @tuna_snug for making the pattern, coaching me through making it and styling my wig and taking photos with @theheebiegiibies of myself. Also, Bet On It from HSM2 is a Kevin Day song and I will not elaborate.

Already my birthday again, holy shit. 35 years on this planet feels like a lot, it feels like “damn my life has passed me by” and it can feel a bit overwhelming but the older I get the happier I am enjoying everyday I get to experience life. I never thought I would make it past 25, and I’m still here! I’m living the best version of myself, and enjoying the shit out of each day in even the smallest of things; a kiss shared with my loved one, a really good movie on the TV, a fun session playing games to the biggest events, seeing a concert, going on a trip and seeing friends new and old. My 30s have been the best years, and I don’t dread getting older like I used to in my 20s. I thought life would get boring at 30 and turns out, life’s pretty beautiful.

Love yourself, be kind to others, tell someone they look beautiful today, hug your loved ones, pet a cat today, and leave the world better than you found it. 🎉🎂 by @colonelsoapscum

It’s a very special birthday today!! @colonelsoapscum 🥹💕💕 Real love with this goober has taught me that love really should feel as easy as breathing. It’s hard to put into words the feeling you have when you meet somebody and think “yeah, I’d like to spend the rest of my life with them”, and have that come to fruition and continue to go for 6 years and counting. Happy anniversary to @tuna_snug, my best friend in the entire world, the one who knows me more than I do and inspires me in every aspect of my life. 🥹💖🎉🎉💖💖💖 Everyday is an adventure with you, even if we’re parallel crafting in the sewing room, going to conventions or simply falling asleep giggling watching stupid videos and there’s never a dull moment. Big sappy post incoming 😭

I’ve gone to so many conventions over the last 16 years that sometimes they bleed together but Colossal 2026 was truly one of the best ones in recent memory. The last 6 years of cosplay has been a slow going hard reset since 2020 for many reasons, partly the pandemic and partly my transitioning journey, and finally getting to a place where I feel comfortable with myself and my abilities to keep moving forward at a good pace 💪

Deciding to compete with Olruggio was a bit of a spur of the moment, and maybe some pressure from @visualsongstress, but it was well worth it! I had already gotten him completed but I wanted to make updates to make him competition worthy and try my hand at competing! I haven’t competed in 10 years, and it was nerve wracking for sure.

As always many thanks to my darling @tuna_snug (who got BEST OVERALL CRAFTSMAN!!! 💖💖) for always standing in my corner and rooting me on, giving advice when needed and being simply amazing. You inspire me to always keep at it and I love you so much 😭💖

Many thanks to all the lovely judges at the competition @malinda_chan @turtlesmithycos @owleeriecosplay @paigesicle_art @dr_andyoffice and especially @sournine for the Judge’s Award! I am so honored to be selected out of all the wonderful contestants this year 🥹🥹 Yall made my first year back so memorable.

Also getting to meet @thejoshuawatersva was such a lovely treat!!! I hope you had a lovely time!! 💖💖💖

Got back my first cards from PSA! The grades aren’t the best, but I mostly love the stories that come with the cards. The Pokemon rumble cards are my original cards from when I was a kid (I have the rest of the set too but I only got these graded), the Squirtle, Blastoise and Charmander I pulled from 151 packs and I opened them with @tuna_snug so they’ve got fun memories. The Giratina is one of my favorite arts and one of my favorite cards I’ve ever pulled. Now they’re in nice slabs I can display. by @colonelsoapscum
