I have been experimenting with a new technique of using string to create paint-like strokes. String is an interesting material because you have to let it behave how it wants to. I’ve really been loving how this piece is coming out.

Welcome to “Calle,” a series by Elena Wolf, known as ColorBaby, a multimedia artist and designer from Houston, Texas. Elena draws inspiration from the tension between chaos and order, particularly within the urban streetscape. Each artwork in the series integrates elements of Mexican street art, symbolizing the complex layers of urban life that shape her creative process. The mixed-media pieces reflect her experience navigating alternative and queer spaces, capturing the disorder and resilience inherent to these environments. Her ongoing exploration of counterculture is marked by her artist tag, B4BY, a signature embedded in her vibrant portrayal of urban existence. taken in Querétaro, Santiago De Querétaro. My first solo exhibition. I was given the opportunity to create this series and finished it in 10 days. All inspired by the 2 months I’ve been living and studying in Mexico.

Thank you so much to everyone who showed up to support my work. And a very special thank you to @rafa_ms and @recabal for gifting me the opportunity to show my work in such an amazing space. I will never forget this. 💕🇲🇽
