Jesus,

You became human. The son of God, born unto a manger. You walked among your people. You loved the unlovable and forgave sinners. Instead of rebuking the brokenness and hurt, you embraced it. Your death on a cross of wood transformed it from an implement of pain into a symbol of salvation. The love you give us defies logic and defeats expectation.

Through your suffering I have joy
Through your humanity I have humility
And through your death I have life

-Where Heaven meets Earth-

Malibu Club is often referred to as “a thin place” because, once one enters its boundaries, the Lord can feel more immanent and more present.

And God is truly so visible and present among the beauty of the mountains, forests, and oceans, surrounded by a wonderful community.

But I think what I often forget is that God’s love is just as real and just as immanent in my life and in yours no matter the place or time. The Lord pursues each and every one of us recklessly and relentlessly, regardless of our past choices.

To fully realize Christ’s love requires faith. It requires a leap, a dive if you will. I never post anything like this on social media, but consider this my encouragement to everybody. Take a dive, no matter where you are in your faith journey. It doesn’t have to be big or life-changing, but it can still be impactful.
