Wingy Weekend at @skydiveca coordinated the one and only @hambrrrglar

I am proud to say that @richo_butts myself and a whole bunch of other Skydive Cal locals went about setting some National and State Vertical Sequential Wingsuit records this weekend (and some of the folks went on to set a horizontal sequential, I believe??). I think they’re official? Not sure.

Heckin’ success of a weekend in my book. So fun to get some reps in a discipline that I’m not confident about my flying abilities; it’s always fun to be a beginner again. Interesting to see some of the differences in the disciplines and types of flying required. And it’s been a great way to spend some time with a different part of the SDCA community!

Cheers to five years, Mr. @richo_butts 🥰

Whodathunk in 2016 that we’d find ourselves back here together 10 years later. Our life is always an adventure 🫶🏻

I have such a Nationals hangover. I’ve got other things coming up to prepare for (omg - I’m doing a wingsuit record soon) but my brain hasn’t finished chewing on both VFS and FS.

I’m still making my way through all the videos, both ours and others. This was a nice tidy round by us! So proud of our clean, controlled flying this comp

Post-Nationals appreciation post! This is my serious face, because I am seriously grateful for all my sponsors. Y’all make the awesome gear I rely on every skydive. Thank you for all your support!

Shoutout to
- @cookiehelmets for keeping my noggin safe! Love my G35 and G4 - can’t wait to try the C45
- @verticalsuits for keeping me fly in my neon Viper. It’s the third one I’ve bought and the fit is perfect for VFS and bigway
- @lbaltimeters for keeping me altitude aware despite the abuse I put them through
- @fluidwings for building me a gorgeous Gangster that makes my canopy part of the skydive just as fun as the freefall

Big thanks to @context.vfs special sponsors:
- Sushi Sponsor @mrdanielschultz
- Pastry Sponsor @comrade.rosa

lols. The number of people that have told me they didn’t realize I could fly belly, in the wake of 4way… crazy to me to think that belly flyer isn’t my defining characteristic anymore.

Round 1: Not shabby for only having 1 training jump as a team. (Don’t mind me falling down the hill)

It feels pretty heckin’ excellent to earn this patch with my ladies.

I am so fortunate to have such talented, multi-discipline, skydiving girls who haven’t given up on flying with me, even since I went to freeflying. Glad they hauled my butt back into comp belly and had patience as I tried to get back up to speed. Such heckin’ legends:
@catattacksphotography
@smechevarria
@aerodocthemanda

Hey guess what? I’ve never actually flown Open FS outdoors before. Advanced 4way. Open 8way. Open VFS. And now finally Open 4way. What a joy and a treat to throw down 10 really excellent rounds (considering our training together). Twas a hoot, folks

Phase 1 Camp for the Women’s HU Record: HOSTED! It’s in the history books, folks. Love a weekend of doing hard things with the ladies (and some gentlemen peeps too)

Immensely grateful for everyone who came out to jump. I’m proud of the work we did. Full blog write up to come, eventually. Soon. Hopefully.
