A year ago, I loaded up my Silverado, grabbed my dog, and decided it was time to make my way back north.

I’ll spare you the details, but I had the friend group, the relationship, the apartment, in the heart of Miami. However, I was truly never happy. The truth is, when it comes to life, as the saying goes, third time’s the charm.

There comes a point in your 30’s that you will tell yourself it’s time to restart and follow your dreams, it is very important that you listen to yourself. remember it’s okay to outgrow your space, your career, your friends. It’s okay to want more from life than complacency.

That desire doesn’t always come easy, it came with a lot of sacrifices. A new environment, a huge pay cut, and even moving back home for a brief part of it until I could get in my feet again.

RESTARTING is not fucking easy, but it’s totally fucking worth it. Sure I post the fun wins, but I don’t post the two hour commutes. I don’t post the quiet weeks when I scraped to get by. I don’t post about the bullies I’ve met in the industry. I don’t post about the events I missed. I don’t post about un supportive family and friends. I don’t post about not having enough gas money. I dont post about shitty apartment scams. I don’t post about coming to terms with a very different life than what I knew so that I can RESTART to per-sue my dreams.

SO WHEN YOU SEE MY POSTS. Let it be know they are moments and spaces where I am proud. Proud of the choices I made. Proud of the work I’ve done to get here. Proud that, although I’ve only been back a year, I started building momentum towards my goals. This page is for my goals, my dreams, inspo, compassion, and growth. The truth is, I love this version of me.

A YEAR AGO from today, I did my first event back in NYC. It was literally the morning after I got back from Miami. It was in BUSHWICK, BK. I worked said event, I walked the neighborhood, and I said to myself “I really like it here, in a year I want to be here”.

#shaggybob One of the greatest things I learned this year, is looking at your art from a different perspective.

After this fun little photo session, we went back in and adjusted the bangs. It was only after the hair was “lived in” was when I realized where the hair truly laid. Thanks for the trust @aria.andrioid
