cozy japan - koi in the pond 🐠

i loved completing this page! got to try some new techniques out, like the water effect and practicing lighting placement which overall i think came together really well 😁 i think the sky on the right should have been different to what i did but hey, always good to find room for improvement ☺️

cozy japan - maid café 💛🩷

this has to be one of my favourite colour combos, pink and yellow always look so cute together so i had to use it on this page!! 😁 i’m really happy with how it came together, particularly the tiles which were inspired by the tutorial from wfcoloringbooks 🫶🏻 i also used my colouring pencils, gel pens and acrylic markers for the details ☺️

👉🏻 swipe to see the ohuhu markers i used for this page! i’ve also listed them below for anyone interested (old labels):

- R190 Bougainvillaea
- R200 Coralessence
- Y050 Summer Lemon
- Y260 Yellow Dahlia
- Y010 Primrose
- E490 Deep Orange
- E260 Leather

cozy japan - karaoke with friends 🎤💕

who doesn’t love a bit of karaoke?? it’s so much fun 😁 i initially did not like the path this page took, so i stepped back from it for a while but then came back, and i’m really happy with it now ☺️ sometimes all you need is a bit of time away to come back with a fresh perspective!

fishermen 🎣🧡
i honestly had no idea what i was doing with this page, i chose my own palette and just went for it 😅 happy with some parts but not with others, i really want to work on getting the sunlight glistening through the water effect right so might have to do another page with water! ☺️ i went for orange water as i was thinking of a rich sunset, but next time i might go back to blue 😁 let me know what you guys think! ❤️

bell shrine visit 🔔
this one was a bit of a challenge for me - i used a colour palette generator (courtesy of Colora ❤️) to get a palette for this page and i’m pretty happy with how it turned out ☺️

it is a bit on the simpler side, but the i paid extra time and effort to the shading on this one and it was a great opportunity to use some colours i’ve never used or considered before ☺️ swipe to see the full palette!

school girls for lunch 💕
this is such a wholesome page, and i didn’t really have a plan initially for this but eventually landed on wanting purple and blue to be the focal colours of this page, with yellow as the foundation! i think it turned out great and feel like i’m making good progress on my skills 😁

follow me on Colora for more colouring content! 🩷

geisha in the garden 🌸
this page was so fun, i really wanted to focus on where i was placing my lights and shadows here while keeping a structured colour palette - i think it turned out pretty good 😄 looking forward to doing more of these pages!

samurai in the sunset ⚔️
this page was a little intimidating to do because i’ve seen so many beautiful versions of it, and i wasn’t entirely sure how i wanted to do it but all i knew was that this was a moonlight fight! 🌙

in the end i think it came together quite well, and i’m really looking forward to doing another page in this book soon 😁

kitty besties 💕
this page was such a gem to do, i took personal inspiration from my own gorgeous ginger girl, and my parents british shorthair - they’ve never met tho and if they did it’d be scraps all the way 😂

i’m not overly pleased with the sky, still some blending practice and colour choices to be mindful of but i’m super proud of the most important part, the cats! 🩷

buzzy bee 🐝🩷

i had fun colouring this page, the flowers took me a bit longer but i’m just getting back in touch with my pencils, so not bad after an 8-month hiatus!! 😁 i’m really happy with how the bee turned out, i was hoping to do more with the geometric pattern at the back but decided i liked it as is ☺️ also please ignore the ugly dark smudge at the bottom - my eraser is crap and i need to get a new one ASAP!! 😖

dreamy dragon 🐉💜

this page was fun but challenging, my paint pens kept smudging when i was adding the final detailing and i got so fed up with it 😂 but i will try again on another page, obviously need some practice with those, but i love the style on this cute page and had fun playing with different colours ☺️

my favourite: the lion king!! 🦁🩷
i’ve been saving this page for ages because i love the lion king, and i have a habit of saving the ones i want to do last…. but instead i decided im not going to deprive myself of doing the ones i want to do, im just going to do them!! 😁 it was pretty challenging to get the colours as accurate as possible, but i think it turned out good ❤️
