We’ll even have some freshly screened tshirts on hand! Come out to make this a spectacular evening celebrating one of San Jose’s most unique electronic art communities. by @column_sj

Our third anniversary just got even better! We’ll have a unique wine on tap with a nominal and familar connection to electronic music: @analogwineco. I met Haley Smith many years ago when I had an industry dinner with her parents and some musicians, back when I was working with Livid Instruments. Haley’s dad Dave Smith founded Sequential Circuits (a company housed in San Jose for a time), helped invent MIDI, and gave birth to a technological shift, merging analog sound with digital control. I recently found out about her wine-making, and knew this had to come full circle. So come enjoy some Analog Wine, learn about her process, and pair it with some analog (and digital) sounds and help Column make another fun trip around the sun! by @column_sj

If it's on Resident Advisor, it's real, right? So, no, you don't really need tickets for this, but dammit, it might be fun if you have one :) Seemed like a good move to start putting our activities on RA to help our scene grow.
Looking forward to next Wednesday! by @column_sj

We started Column @Goodkarmasj becuase Bob had a space, liked the idea, and we wanted a place for live electronic music in our own downtown. It’s now been three years, and our gradual carving out has brought a wonderful community into full relief! Come join us on September 16 as we celebrate our three years with a variety of microsets from some of the people who have really made this special! Note that this month’s gathering is on the third Wednesday instead our usual second! #liveelectronicmusic #analogsynth #modularsynth #dawless #downtownsanjose by @column_sj

This has been a long time coming! I’ve known Jeff for decades, based on a shared affinity and deep use of Max/MSP. It will be great to see his live work - I got a preview a month ago in Oakland! @equile
equilet is the electronic music project of J.Lubow.

equilet’s output blurs lines between texture, design, and rhythm. He has released work on Silva Electronics, Nebleena, Important Jogger, and Irrational Media. He has performed alongside Mark Fell, L’usine, Cylob, Aleksi Perälä, Jan Jelinek, Rene Hell, and Richard Devine.

His music sits at the intersection of experimental dance grit and conceptual art, reflecting a practice that is as much about ideas and systems as it is about sound. #analogsynth #liveelectronicmusic #elektron #modularsynth by @column_sj

Q-Tron + Memory Man
supported by Woven

Like last month, this month features QTron, a new performer who has been inspired to start making electronic music, partly because of our regular gatherings and shows. We’re really excited that Column has not only survived but provides a place to grow. Can’t wait for Wednesday!

From the depth of San Jose’s Gameshop Downstairs, two basement dwellers emit waves of sonic intensity inspired by the mountains of technology and media surrounding them
Strength through collaboration
Self improvement through live performance
Insanity through maximalism
QT + MM are hardcore hardware heads who make techno by any means, and think you should too!

Woven is Charles Johnson, electronic musician and, tonight, DJ. With a sharp eye for detail, Woven’s sets navigate a techno landscape that is not driven by genre, but by environment and taste.
