The Gaia crane is now erected 🏗️

The Ruby Line project continues to cross the Douro River at a steady pace. Following the assembly on the Porto side, the second Comansa 21LC1050 tower crane is now fully operational on the Gaia side for the FCC Construcción – ACA – Convensa JV and Ibergru.

With two giants featuring a 50t capacity and an 80m reach working on both riverbanks, the construction of the new D. Antónia Ferreira Bridge is gaining momentum.

Success Story: Innovation in Shipyards 💪

How do you install a high-capacity tower crane while respecting the structural limitations of an existing dock?

This was the challenge in our project for IHC Royal Dutch in the Netherlands, where we deployed a COMANSA 21LC335 crane on a special travelling portal.

Project Highlights:

• The Challenge: Adapting to strict wheel load restrictions on existing rails and dock structures.

• The Solution: Tailored engineering that minimized structural modifications, allowing the shipyard to remain 100% operational.
