Crying is not weakness. Sometimes strength looks like holding your head high & sometimes strength looks like finally letting the tears fall. We’re taught to hide pain, to “be strong,” to keep going as though nothing hurts. Especially men, who are often made to feel that showing emotion makes them less of a man but feeling deeply doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human. There is courage in allowing yourself to grieve. Courage in missing someone. Courage in admitting that something hurts. Here, I cried because I wished my Nani was here to witness a moment she should have been here for. And instead of being ashamed of those tears, I’m choosing to honour them. Let it out. Cry if you need to. Feel it. Sit with it. Pray through it. You don’t have to be emotionless to be strong. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is allow yourself to feel.🤍
