Another win secured for Sac State Boxing. The momentum keeps building.Ayahna returned to Sacramento for her first hometown fight in over a year and picked up another win.Earlier that day, we hosted our Year 3 Combat U tryouts. More than 50 student athletes came out, with 12 earning a spot on this year’s roster.While college boxing is in the offseason, we’re continuing to compete, develop, and build momentum.The work continues. Sacramento State Boxing stepped onto the State Assembly floor today to be recognized by Assemblywoman Maggy Krell (@asmmaggykrell) for their historic achievements in and out of the ring. 🥊Special recognition to Ayahna Gonzales, for becoming Sacramento State’s first women’s national champion at the National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) National Championships.
