26 years on stage.
More than seven of those spent working almost exclusively in Germany.

And now… for the first time, an extended period in France. In a cabaret where the audience breathes, watches, feels, and responds in a completely different way.

The same character on the outside.
But inside… a different Pascal.

Where the German variety, dinner show, and theatre scene asks me to be more serious and restrained as a comedian, French cabaret calls for something else entirely…more eccentric, more playful, more clownesque.

A gentleman on the outside, but from within it’s a very different energy.
That took some time getting used to it.

Because what has worked for years doesn’t automatically work here. So you have to listen. Feel. Adapt. Let go of what you know and dare to change.

People who see me perform here say:
“Wow Pascal, we’ve never seen you do it like this before.”

And they’re right.

I experiment. I adjust. I explore. I give everything I have to make it work. And when you perform at night and the audience goes wild in the finale… people standing up… then you know you’ve done something right. Here too. In another country. For a different audience.

I’ve also heard from several people here including well-known clowns and comedians who came to visit that I seem to have a gift.. no matter where I perform, or what the setting is, somehow my energy always manages to win the audience over in the end.
That is a huge compliment. And if it’s true, it’s a special gift .. one I’m aware not everyone has. But I think it’s actually very simple. It comes from being real. When your energy is real, people feel it. And that’s how you truly connect with them.

That feeling is deeply satisfying.

Two more months in France.
Then back to Germany.

But this experience will stay with me forever.

Looking back at some truly unforgettable moments with La Bouche Showgirls… and yes, I’m still not 100% sure how I ended up surrounded by that much talent, glitter, and confidence while I was just trying to “blend in and be professional.” 😅

Huge shoutout to the incredible La Bouche Showgirls for making every collaboration feel like a mix between high fashion, chaos, and perfectly timed choreography. And of course, respect to @shaes_activelifestyle for somehow keeping everything under control… or at least making it look like it was under control.

If you ever wondered what happens when a comedian enters a world of showgirls: short answer is I laugh, they shine, and nobody gets hurt (miraculously).

Still one of the best rides I’ve had on stage and behind the scenes. More memories like this, please. 🔥

Working with clowns has always been a big part of my life. Besides often working solo, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with many different and well-known clowns over the years.

I recently already shared a photo of me with the Belgian clown Toto Chabri, and today I want to share another beautiful memory … this time with the incredible clown Fumagalli.

As a child, I remember watching Fumagalli on television during the @festivalducirquedemontecarlo. Years later, I saw him live for the first time at @theatercarre during the @wereldkerstcircus. I still remember laughing so hard that I had tears in my eyes.

Moments like these carry a special meaning.. childhood memories coming full circle when you suddenly find yourself sharing the same ring with someone you once admired from afar, now as a fellow artist in the ring.

Some moments in the circus don’t just stay in the past .. they come back to life in the most unexpected and beautiful ways!
