Thank you ๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ See you in 2025 by @cometronband
We released our From Paris To Berlin cover exactly one year ago! ๐Ÿ˜ Still listening to it?? The original song was a major hit in Europe in early 00's. It has this mesmerizing club vibe and a catchy chorus that fit perfectly with our style. It's always a fun challenge to take a simple pop song and turn it into a different version. In our case a metal version. From production standpoint it gets interesting when you figure out the vibe you want to go for. In SexyBack I found inspiration from shackle and whip sounds, darker EDM genres and industrial metal. I like pop and electronic music for their simplicity and catchiness in terms of song compositions but also for their creative sound design. Metal, to me, can be quite boring in it's basic form no matter how intense and heavy it may sound like. Pretty much any pop song just arranged to metal drums, guitars and vocals doesn't usually do it for me even though the original is great. It may sound fine but not interesting. When covering a song like that you need to get playful with it and add new sounds, notes, change rhythms and even lyrics. At least that is what I like to do and how our covers get made. As a result of all this COMETRON is not meant to be "the most metal thing ever" because on top of covering a pop song, we like to take inspiration and blend sounds from other genres which aren't metal. I work as a producer for other bands but COMETRON is where I really get to put all my creative capacity into work. There's no one stopping the process which is fun but it can get tiring at times, especially when I feel like the cover is almost done. We are happy with the outcome though and seeing other people digging it too makes it absolutely worth it! -Rami ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŽฅ: @andrerodriguez.films by @cometronband
