1st day of the new year and crossed off one of my goals was to fix my cars trunk electronic latch. The latch has broken for about 2 yrs due to the latch degrading over time (have had this car since 2015). Have had to open my trunk from the inside.

Bought the parts off Amazon (less than $30), found a video on YouTube, and fixed it myself. Took about a couple of hours (hardest part was the plastic covering & screws being in hard to reach spots).

Would’ve cost me $150+ to have a mechanic or dealership fix it.

My grandfather owned and ran a mechanic shop in Trinidad 🇹🇹. I think I made him proud today 💪🏾🙏🏾. #insta360 #timelapse #dıy #mechanic #hyundaivelosterturbo

At the beginning of July 2023 @bm0r3natural was telling me about an app that she got an invite code to, that was like a combination of Twitter x Tumblr. It peeked my interest. In my mind I wasn’t thinking of anything major, just another social media app that may come & go. | joined the app slowly with others during the Great Migration 🤣 when folks were leaving Twitter and right when the Montgomery Brawl happened. Tons of people were joining Spill talking about it sharing memes & nigglin with each other. I think that’s when I knew @spillmob was something more special than the other apps. It is a Black owned space lead by fellow bald headed brother @iphonz & further championed by Queen @kenyatparham where they are giving different marginalized communities a voice to be heard online. Where Spill has ironclad community guidelines about what would be tolerated and what is actually acceptable in the space. So no trolls, no constant male vs female debates, etc.

Since joining I’ve been one of the prominent voices on the app, where people come to me for fun, insight, and just a place to “be”. I’ve personally lead meetups with others in the ATL area to communicate together and have fun together (swipe for the meetup vids). Most recently, its biggest achievement launched is where they are now the only social media app to ever launch an equity crowdfunding initiative, users of the app essentially #OwntheConvo. You can currently invest now in Spill, when joining the app, or visiting the link in my image.

From my viewpoint the apps growth has been steadily growing large, even thru the apps different growing pains, and at times bad actors that sneak into the party, who get hit with the Apollo show cane & given a swift exit.

All this to say, Spill is my home base now, as IG & FB aren’t changing anytime soon to help us out from trolls & the day to day 🚮. Y’all might catch me over here every now & then, but if you’re really looking for me, I’m in SPILL niggling, playin Spades & cracking jokes with my Spillfam, same handle.

I’m honored to be able to be a SPILL Investor. Can’t wait to see how things grow and evolve from here. ☕️ taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @cometseme
