A time was definitely had!

First, I want to thank my sister, @ashleyzee1 for allowing me the space and opportunity to create with every amazing person in these pictures. Your support means more than you know.

A huge thank you to my cousin, @the_shadedsociety , for coming through and letting the ladies shop your beautiful shades. You helped make the experience even more special.

To every beautiful soul who attended from Philly, to DC, to Baltimore thank you. Some of you I had never met a day in my life, yet you showed up, came all the way from different city’s and showed love, and supported me like we’ve known each other forever. That will never be forgotten.
Yes, we had a small hiccup with the candle heaters, but everyone reassured me that it wasn’t my fault. So guess what? I grabbed a few heaters with Lizzy, and we made it happen because this experience was too special to let anything stop it.

Thank you all for trusting me, for your patience, your kindness, and your grace. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

You beat the odds.

When I became pregnant with you at 16, many people saw a cycle that would never be broken. But with you, it wasn’t

Harmony, you are loving, caring, dedicated, loyal, and hardworking. Your determination to create your own path instead of following the footsteps of others is what makes you so special. I have gone through so much in life simply because I never wanted you to experience the things I did. You tell me all the time ma I knowwwww and you stuck to the knowing!!!!

My story : I was still a child learning trying to teach you what I was learning but also what wasn’t given to me but you never held that against me you just loved your mother!

Many people think they know our story, but they only know pieces of it. They don’t know the prayers, sacrifices, and tears that came with raising you. Through it all, God ordered my steps and placed the right people in our lives at the right time.

Even when some people didn’t want you here, God did.

You are here.

You are loved.

You are Harmony.

Your name represents exactly what I needed during one of the most difficult times in my life. Today, as I watch you graduate, I don’t just see a cap and gown I see strength, resilience, faith, and purpose.

I am so proud of everything you’ve accomplished, but even more proud of the young woman you’ve become.

This is only the beginning.
