#girlscount this is why we often send the guitar string proceeds to World Vision through their gift catalogue with items like school books, uniforms, school meals, education for a girl, and women’s small entrepreneurial groups. by @comfortdollproject

Sometimes the bands I give a comfort doll to for their photos- will surprise me! Bad Company Paul Rodger’s took his on tour to Russia! And this one from @samrobertsband obviously jamming out to the guys at a concert 💙🔥 I LOVE seeing where they pop up (and at one time thought about maybe a story book type blog for their travels - but never got it it 😉) if you’re a band that still has comfort dolls - I’m open to a surprise photo 😅 by @comfortdollproject

Sometimes when I create #guitarstring bracelets people ask me to design around their favorite album or song from that artist. (This one from @samrobertsband album Collider awhile ago). I’ve been creating string bracelets & knitting comfort dolls coming up on 20 yrs May 1st. It never seems like it’s been that long! And it never happens without support from others. by @comfortdollproject

As I approach the 20th anniversary of running Comfort Doll Project, I’m reflecting on the kids who the dolls bring comfort to. Many are orphans, some are rescued child soldiers, some are mom and dad for younger siblings out of necessity. The dolls are knit or crocheted by volunteers then taken to developing countries like Africa, by aid agencies. Last year we sent 100 dolls to an orphanage in Paraguay. I’m remembering too the many volunteers over the last 20 yrs who created the dolls with us. 🧡💙🩷💛 by @comfortdollproject

Because the band, and especially @jacobyshaddix advocate for mental health supports, especially for youth, and especially on this #riseoftheroach tour- we wanted to do likewise with some of the proceeds of @jerryhorton and Tobin’s strings. FamilySmart is a local BC organization who support families and youth who require non judgemental unconditional mental health support. We also donated the same amount to 3 other local BC mental health organizations. Thank you to all who supported and it’s been amazing to have people tell me they’re always here if someone needs to talk. We are family. by @comfortdollproject

Thank you to @jerryhorton Tobin, band, crew and mgmt. And to the Fans. The Canadian tour batch of strings is finished and we’ve sent the proceeds to charity. (Blog link in bio!) As well, the amount that has been raised through @paparoach strings (and drumsticks, signed photo) over the years (since Jerry started saving his strings for us) is incredible. The amount of people that have been positively affected is incredible. I’m humbled by everyone’s support and generosity over the years. Thank you 🙏 by @comfortdollproject
