Poem Fusion: “ Have You First Petered: Three: Seven”.

Finally put this together so people can read it. This poem reminds us that society especially the Body of Christ needs to raise faithful men and teach them how to treat women. It’s not enough to just raise girls to become wives , teach women to become wives especially from a cultural view, both genders need to know how to properly treat each other .

Before you ask a woman to be submissive ask yourself, are you reflecting those same values? Are you upholding those same principles, or are you skipping your part of the Bible and hiding under sheep’s clothing.
.
.
It’s one thing to preach it & even act like 1 Peter 3:7 than to actually be it. This past year has taught me to look at character beyond what the person is saying. A Christian man can uphold values of the world & even mislead you. May we all find someone that is compatible biblically , sound in mind & spirit.

POEM: Love Language written by Confort Habia

When I wrote this poem 2 years ago , it was around Valentine’s Day & I was thinking deep about what I really want in a man & how I want my ideal relationship to look like.

I had to reflect & concluded that I’ve only “truly loved once”. LOML (Love of My Life) is someone that understood me as a person, we talked about sports, education , our ambitions, principles, dreams , fitness , fashion & rarely politics.

Over the years I’ve compromised due to cultural , religious & societal standards & it didn’t work. I tried burying my feministic values , in fact I’ve been attacked verbally & told Im not married because I’m a feminist & not "submissive".

Despite such remarks , compromise didn’t lead me to the perfect “leading man” that was promised by the religious, cultural & societal standards, so I’m back to my original self.

I conclude that it’s best to be with someone that has the same values as you & values you. Love is not war , it’s is not mud!

Loving someone means I’ll freely cook for you, buy you gifts , want to be clingy , pursue my dreams along side you & we’ll take charge of aspects of our relationship. We’ll build together. Let’s both make it big & have a multiple destinations honey moon, let me fly my man to Dubai , Zanzibar for his birthday, let me lit a candle & fill the room with your favorite aroma & romance you.

That’s my kind of love , our values against the world. To my future hubby good luck , cuz I’m in my preparation phase & adding financial literacy to the list.

Poem Fusion: “ Holy Heartbreak” is a heartbreak song , a poem filled with true emotions about how a “Christian man” can still break your heart, mislead you, and “actually” be polygamous. Sadly the title Christian , doesn’t accurately reflect the character of a man. Just because he’s serving in church , doesn’t automatically make him a great candidate to be your husband. Choose a man based on the core of his character, and depth of commitment he has to you. Some go as far as evangelize , and lure women with words like submissiveness. Their families can even protect their public image! 🥺

Now let’s call a spade a spade! There’s a difference between choosing & abusing a woman’s vulnerability. When a man creates emotional intimacy, makes promises, “fakes” seriousness, or behaves as though he is pursuing a woman, while privately entertaining other relationships—and then uses ambiguity to escape accountability, he is not a true Christian! Wearing the coat of several women , then covering it with armor of holiness is mischievous.

A Christian man can talk to , or even go as far as date multiple women, and hide this viscous behavior under the disguise of friendship, sisters & brothers in the Lord. Sadly they don’t chose to do this outside of the body of Christ , the Holy place can actually be their main playground. We prepare so many wives, but we forget to raise husbands. Because men are the ones choosing, some abuse that power dynamic, wasting the women’s time! 🧐😑
.
Christian dating does not automatically equate to exclusivity; some maintain the culture of “keeping their options open”that way the next “cute sister in Christ” they see can be added to their list. One man can have 10 “sisters in Christ” and it will still not be enough! So my question is how does “ a sister in Christ” also position herself to potential suitors?The women are “waiting to be chosen , praying & fasting” , “while some men are using the body of Christ as their playground”. Some actually want “A HOLY BADDIE”!

Episode 28: “Holy Heartbreak” is a heartbreak song. 😔😔

It captures the pain of misplaced trust when a Christian man you know privately contradicts the image he presents publicly—even while preaching online.

A man who flirts, leads women on, keeps the next woman within reach, and then turns around and labels you a “a great friend”.

The hypocrisy of it all…,” Even the body of Christ is not holy ground for you.”

We talk so much about women’s holiness, submission, and character. But we should also teach the men in the Body of Christ not to waste a sister’s time, manipulate her emotions, or make multiple women believe they are uniquely chosen.

Sadly because Christianity can become sheep’s clothing for a man, whose character doesn’t match his platform,please my dear sisters in Christ look beyond the public image and pay attention to his character. A Christian man can still break your heart—and hand you his wedding invitation the next day.

Don’t let pseudo-holiness violate your soft love. Accountability cannot leave the chat, just because mercy is new every morning. May the Lord pair true Christian women with true kind hearted Christian men.

Episode 27: “Have You First Petered”?

This poem is about men treating women right; now this is not a man vs woman or anti-male post. This post is to honestly ensure that people aren’t preaching or demonstrating abuse and calling it submissiveness. Submissiveness is not controlling how much a woman can earn , stopping a woman from achieving their dreams like furthering their education, or even saying things like “ if my wife earns more than me she will no longer be a good wife”, that’s more of an insecurity disguised as submissiveness.

.
I pray that some of the things women in our grandma and mother’s era had to go through bypasses us. I pray that the Lord continues to raise true Christian men that can 1 Peter 3:7. Leading a woman on, entertaining multiple women , wasting their time is not God like character either. Having the woman do their part while you neglect your role as the man in courtship and marriage is not Godly.

It’s not ethical to cheer your daughters on to maximize their education and potential, while holding your wife back because she might become more successful than you. Relationships , a true Godly relationship is based on unity and team work.

Poem Fusion: Episode 26. 'Artifact of Truth’.

Artifact of truth is a poem about healing and protecting girls, little girls or let’s just say christen go through things that ye mere eye can not see. Little girls suffer at times because people can’t keep their hands to themselves! When child says I’m hurt , please don’t ask them how much? Let’s make sure we see beyond what’s in front of us, and pay attention to nuances.

May the Lord protect and heal all the little girls , and may adults see beyond what’s in front of them. Best believe it too, children are blunt and say it as it is, listen to their cry and complain. Artifact of truth says it all, we don’t need a DSLR recording to prove what happened. It’s in the nuances.

The beautiful thing about this poem is that it also depicts how experience can fuel one’s purpose. My passion continues to burn for advocacy for girls, children and women’s wellbeing.

Episode 25: “Crocodile Tears”

This poem is truly an outpouring about how I feel about my brother. I honor your resilience, your bravery to overcome. It about the hypocrisy in the way humans treat eachother at times , and how some Africans sabotage their brothers and sisters. It’s to remind people that , there are some that act based on tribalistic mindsets and will go as far as punishing children for it.

Women are suffering around the world for just loving someone’s son, and if that’s not enough some will go as far as attacking the destinies of the children, but if God be for us who can rise against us. In my own words “ May it never be too late for us to realize the importance of family”! Sometimes I just dey laugh 😂 at life mehnn.

Now let me tell my truth , the practice of confessing sin on Saturdays and praising God on Sunday and staring wickedness all over again during the weeks is not of God like. Bullying people then playing the victim is not biblical. But who am I, even Jesus was betrayed. Only if Jospeh’s brothers knew , his star was there just to amplify theirs perhaps.

So today my decree over my brother is Joel 2:25 “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” These words remain a prophecy and the world can’t wait to see what you’ll become.
