Medical Update

On July 29, I had a stent placed in my chest to repair an aneurysm that was dangerously close to leaking. The plan was for me to be back on my feet in about three weeks.

Unfortunately, last week I had to rush to the ER with extreme chest pain, fearing it was a heart attack. I was admitted to the ICU, and I’ve been in the hospital since Wednesday. The doctors discovered that the stent is blocked with blood clots, though they don’t yet know why. I’m going through multiple tests while they work to figure it out.

I believe God will heal me, but I’d be lying if I said this hasn’t been mentally and physically rough. Between the pain, anxiety, and being stuck in the hospital, I’m fighting to keep my spirit steady.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I continue this journey. Your love and support mean more than I can say. ❤️🙏 by @comicjohnladams

Just wanted to let everyone know—I’m out of surgery and the doctors say it was a success. 🙌🏾

I can’t fully express how grateful I am for all the love, prayers, messages, and support I’ve received from my friends and family during this time. It meant everything to me going into surgery, and it means even more now as I focus on healing.

Thank you all. Your support helped carry me through—and it’ll continue to carry me forward. ❤️

A buddy of mine recently told me, “Welp, they’re digging in our row.” I’m feeling all of that right about now. Blood clots in both lungs, my arm, and leg and aneurysm that needs immediate surgery. Pray for your boy before I’m doing my tight 5 for the heavenly host. by @comicjohnladams

Happy birthday to the best baby brother, Dr. Toussaint C. Adams, anyone could ever have. When you were 8 months old, I watched you take your first steps. When I was 33, you helped me take my first steps to Christ. You’ll never know what you mean to me on this side of eternity but I will love you LITERALLY forever…even though you could choke me out with your “little karate.” Happy birthday, Tous. by @comicjohnladams

Imagine if…The double standard isn’t even hidden anymore.
It’s the default setting. The hypocrisy is so loud it should have its own podcast.

I’ve been hitting up In-N-Out since ‘98… and I just found out about THIS secret menu hack today. 🤦‍♂️ How did nobody tell me?!

If you know, you know. If you don’t know, well… welcome to the club of people questioning their entire existence over a burger order. 🍔😂

My left leg was sore. Then it HURT. Went to the ER and found out I had two blood clots in my leg. Doc said, “Mr. Adams, you should be dead.” That’s crazy to hear, but pain lets you know you’re alive. Grateful to God for another day. Definitely going to talk about this on stage! by @comicjohnladams
