One of my favorite actresses. A star I would love to have had dinner with.
Always so sweet and naturally funny. She battled MS from her diagnosis in 1999 (although she had experienced symptoms for 16 years prior) till her death today. She has always held a special place in my heart. Rest In Peace by @comicliff

With Kath Lenk at George Floyd Square for his vigil. A day of conflicting emotions, a reason to celebrate for sure, but also somber as we remember GF in the very site of his murder. Say their names: George Floyd, Daunte Wright, Philando Castile, Jamal Clark and this is just in the Twin Cities in the last couple years. The person I thought of and praised the most was Darnella Frazier - just 17 years old but she stood her ground and filmed the assault she was witness to. And that short film seems to have shook this country and the entire world! Remember the first police statement said that the suspect died from underlying medical issues while being placed under arrest and that an ambulance had been called but they were not able to revive him. We can hope for change! by @comicliff

Minutes away from the jury’s verdict. My city is on tenterhooks, reports of cars with out of state licenses and freedom flags and white nationalists driving through neighborhoods. I can’t even convey the tension this city has been in since last weekend. National Guard on every corner and armored cars up and down Lake Street. by @comicliff

Remembering my Mom on what would have been her 98th birthday. This Pasque flower first began to bloom in my wildflower garden a few months after her passing. It always seems to show up on or near her special day. Pasque flowers are sometimes referred to as Prairie Smoke due to the fact that along the stem and even under the leaves are these long silky hairs which help it to survive late frosts and catch the light wonderfully, but the reason I associate this flower is because it can handle a long cold winter and still come out shining. The beautiful purple sepals are contrasted with the gorgeous Golden Yellow stamens which are loaded with pollen which really help nurture beehives so they can endure until the other flowers begin to bloom. And then you have right in the center this magic clump of rising pistils extending upward on their purple styles. Very special just like her! by @comicliff
