East London’s @command.control delivers Afterimage, his first EP on @eartoground_records_ . Blending euphoric tension with dub-infused harmonic textures, the release moves between propulsive techno foundations and breakbeat-leaning territory whilst remaining rooted in atmosphere and movement.

Afterimage invites immersion — music that unfolds through texture, space and tonal weight, reinforcing Command Control’s focus on feeling as much as function.

Really pleased to share a new track, ‘Still Here’, out today on @coherent.recs 👉➡️ for a preview.

The track is part of a VA celebrating emerging artists from across the UK techno scene. It’s Bandcamp exclusive for the first few weeks, so if you like what you hear, please go and show the label some love. Bandcamp link in bio.

I started this track exactly three months ago today, and it’s probably my favourite thing I’ve made this year.

// INTRODUCING: COMMAND CONTROL

London-based producer and DJ Command Control emerged in 2024 with his debut EP Essence – a statement of intent fusing the raw pulse of Detroit, the weight of dub, and the grit of UK techno. Across its tracks, unexpected elements cut through, building a sound that's hard to box in yet instantly commanding.
Since then, he's performed across the country at staple techno and queer parties including Meat Free, BENT and Snooze, whilst also joining Subtle Radio as a resident and contributing a guest mix for NTS. 2026 has seen his next forays into production, with "Afterimage" landing on EarToGround. Early support has come from DVS1, Laurent Garnier, Takaaki Itoh, Janein, Aalice, Alexander Kowalski and more.

Hello! After a long hiatus from radio, I’m excited to be starting a new residency on @subtleradio . The first Afterimage show airs live tomorrow from 01:00–02:00. ➡️ for preview 🔊

I’ll be using this slot to explore the outer edges of my music collection, spanning digital & vinyl selections as well as unreleased music.

This month’s show then explores the twilight zone between house and techno (or, as Fiedel once coined it: “maybe-techno, maybe-house, something inbetween”). Expect tightly wound drum loops, hazy chords, hypnotic grooves and a touch of vinyl dust.
