Just when you thought you knew Stuart.

This week has been a big week for our sourdough starter, Stuart. He’s gone through some life changes : from how he’s fed to how he’s rested to how he’s baked. We even re-introduced his mother dough that we’ve been keeping alive off-site for years.
.
Stuart fans, fear not! These changes, alongside the re-introduction of Mimi (yes, that’s the mother dough!) has resulted in a deeper, more robust flavor, a stronger crust, and a beautifully soft but strong interior. He’s still the sourdough you know and love, he’s just matured some 🫶🏻

❓ Did you know that we name all of the antique pieces in @theroomatcommon ❓
.
Those of you who have been following us for a while know that when we move into a space, we slow play finishing the design (honestly, for us it’s never really done.) The slower we move, the more the space speaks to us.
.
And, frankly, sometimes it’s the staff speaking to us and saying “we need another service station in The Room!”
.
Whether the team or the space, we move when we know what’s needed. This weekend, we sourced this darling little gem from our friends @attic.sav
.
Through a message on our The Room Insta, we learned this is a 1940s beauty that came from France with her original owner before being donated when the owner moved back abroad. We only thought it fitting to name her after her original owner. This doll’s name is Britta 😍
.

.
