Closet argument, no. 2: the mini says plans. The canvas tote says toothpaste.

Too much for Saturday errands, or exactly enough?

Thursday soundcheck: one track to finish the reading, one track to make the kitchen briefly believe it is a club.

What’s your best one-song switch from work brain to dance floor?

Astoria art note: Overexposed at MoMI looks at how cinema and medical imaging changed the way we see bodies. It runs through January 3.

Seeing more is not the same as understanding more. A tool can reveal and still bring someone else’s assumptions with it.

What artwork made you question the tool doing the looking?

Two sweeps, two very different kinds of history.

Golden State is going to its first WNBA Finals. Atlanta is going back for the first time since 2013. The title series starts October 17, which feels frankly hostile to anyone trying to be normal about next weekend.

Who are you backing, and what matchup decides it for you?
