A beautiful surprise to see our @slimaaronsofficial x Nusa Indah surfboards featured in this month’s issue of Country Style Magazine. 🌿🤍

Our boards have always lived somewhere between surf, art and interiors, so seeing them included in a magazine celebrating beautiful Australian homes and the stories behind them is very special.

Nobody starts a community because they love spreadsheets.

They start one because they love running. Surfing. Books. Volunteering. Food. Their neighbourhood. Or simply bringing good people together.

Then somewhere along the way comes the admin.

RSVPs. DMs. Reminders. Ticketing. Follow-ups. Partnerships. The person who definitely said they were coming but has now disappeared.

We think technology should take care of more of that.

So community leaders can spend less time managing community and more time actually being in it.

Automate the admin. Not the humanity.

Maybe there’s a magical portal opening in the universe today.

Maybe there isn’t. 😂✨

But I woke up this morning with something I don’t get very often: a whole day that was mine.

No rushing. No one needing anything from me. No reason to immediately open the laptop and start ticking things off a list.

So I decided not to fill the space.

I got up early and did Pilates. I’m heading out for a long walk. I’m going to get outside, write my eight intentions, clear a few things I’ve been carrying and spend some time thinking about what I actually want the next chapter of my life to feel like.

Because that’s the part of manifestation I actually believe in.

Not sitting around waiting for the universe to deliver exactly what you ordered.

But stopping long enough to hear yourself.

Getting really clear about what you want.

Letting go of what doesn’t belong anymore.

And then doing something, however small, that moves you towards it.

So whether you’re completely into the Lionsgate Portal, vaguely curious, or think the whole thing sounds a little bit woo-woo 😂, maybe use 8/8 as your excuse to ask yourself:

What do I want more of?
What am I ready to leave behind?
And who am I becoming next?

Write your eight.

Do one brave thing.

Then go and enjoy your life.

Because maybe the magic isn’t that the universe suddenly changes today.

Maybe it’s that you decide to. ✨

I realised something recently.

For a long time I thought I had to choose between being a publicist, a journalist or a creator.

The truth is, I don’t.

I’ve spent 15+ years helping other people tell their stories. Now, I’m creating space to tell my own.

Over the past few months I’ve had the privilege of writing for publications like Mamamia, Nine Honey and Snow Action Magazine, while continuing my work in publicity at SBS. That combination has reminded me that the work I love most isn’t about influence—it’s about curiosity.

I want this page to become an editorial journal of thoughtful travel, remarkable food, founder life, motherhood and the people and places that leave a lasting impression.

If you’ve recently joined me, welcome. I think we’re going to have some wonderful adventures together.
