Community Drumming bringing the joy and energy of Afro Brazilian music to Kingston Carnival 2025.

This was out first parade in Kingston and what a Bang! We collaborated with different charities that Kingston Community Drumming works to bring the joy and energy of Afro-Brazilian. Our main drumming bloco consisted of around 50 drumming including adults, children, people with learning disabilities from Kingston Eco-op and support from Dendê Nation drummers. This group of drummers was precede by about 25 members of Kingston Mencap wearing Mexican ponchos and playing handheld percussion instrument, and followed by about 20 senior dancers from the Milaap Centre wearing traditional costumes from their countries of origins and shakers. by @community_drumming
