Swipe on thru to learn how I cue point songs to be club ready in any environment… these can be swapped out for memory cues as well if needdd

The first cue point (8 bar loop) is used to get the tracks in the correct phrasing and also to show you to best match. By playing the second song in phrase (new phrases start every 8 bars) you can use ur headphones to beatmatch before the tracks are heard by the audience

Second cue point can be right at the intro but can also be used to… get to the point of the track. Sometimes with extended mixes or crowds that get bored quickly you may want to mix into the drop and get the crowd going. So to skip a long breakdown just make sure you set this cue point on a bit impact or a crash/clap and press it on the end of a phrase!

Final cue point is your emergency backup plan. I like to make sure this is a loop that just has kick and bass, so whatever new elements I add to it are from the songs that are following and I know 100% all I’ll be getting from this emergency loop is a kick and bass for the remainder!

Then eqing the loop out can work very well and make the transition seem seamless

MORE QUESTIONS

Q: How do I set a loop as a cue point?
A: if you’re on your computer (I find export mode the easiest) create a loop then click the cue points on the right side of screen

Q: Why set these as Cue Point A/B/C or 1/2/3?
A: on older CDJs and some older club setups you may only have three cue buttons on the decks! So as long as these are your first three you’ll be all good!

Q: Does this with for all genres?
A: the concept yes, but the execution may be different. It’s a great road map that will work for most electronic music, however for hip hop/ rap/ rnb… I believe it would work! I just haven’t done it with these genres!
