Can't think of a better way to celebrate a knitter's birthday weekend then with a big fiber festival 🥳

My first Flock Fiber Fest is in the books and it was a blast! And the fact this festival is in Seattle is such a major bonus (the city will forever hold a special place in my heart ❤️). Celebrated my actual birthday on Thursday exploring Pikes and eating delicious food. Friday was all about going to a Mariners game with a fireworks show at the end. Then Saturday and Saturday was all the yarn and other fiber goodies.

And I'm so grateful to have such a supportive husband who would be willing to go with me. I will never forget sitting at home, a week after he had his kidney transplant, I was sharing with him all the Flock happenings I saw on IG. He could tell I was experiencing major fomo and he promised me we would go someday. And we did, and it was fantastic! Hopefully we don't have to wait to long to go again 😆

Elementary 🔎 Tonal Sets

Are you team Infinity Doodle Cowl or Standard Doodle Cowl? I love the Infinity version so I can see more of the charts knit up and all the color combinations available in a tonal set!

If you are Team Infinity you’ll want our large tonal set - it has the perfect amount of yarn for knitting a full Infinity Doodle Cowl while also having left overs for some Doodle Accessories. It includes a full skein plus 6 50 gram skeins of Bronto DK.

Our small tonal set is perfect for Standard Doodle cowls and includes a full skein and 6 mini skeins in coordinating colors. These are available in Bronto DK and Salta Fingering Weights (sock knitters love Doodle Socks!).

Be sure to stop by booth 14 to get the new Detective Doodle Deck from @pacificknitco and booth 15 to snag an Elementary Tonal Set this weekend at @flockfiberfestival!

One of those rare occurrences where I actually post my face, but then after almost 2 weeks of traveling solo, seems like a worthy reason.

The trip to the UK started as a work trip that I extended 4 days to hang out in London, just for fun. Originally my husband was going to join me in London, but those plans fell through. So it was just me, myself and I, cramming in as much as my feet would allow. And ya'all, I had a blast! This was my first time traveling solo internationally and while it did put me out of my comfort zone a few times, it was also a very freeing experience.
Don't get me wrong, I do love traveling with my husband. But I probably wouldn't pass up the opportunity to travel solo again. It was a lot of fun to just let my adventurous side take over and go see or do whatever I felt like in that moment. And you better believe there were stops just for yarn or even just small moments to sit on a park bench and knit 😁

Photo 1 - Selfie with the iconic Elizabeth Tower. (Always fun to time it right that Big Ben rings as you walk around the Houses of Parliament.)
Photo 2 - View from my hotel. When I needed to rest my aching feet, it was fun to people watch from my room and knit. (Working on the #attuneshawl)
Photo 3 - On my museum day, swung by one of the cutest shops in London, Beautiful Knitters.
Photo 4 - The haberdashery at Liberty. Don't know why it took me so long to check out Liberty, but I spent so much time on the floor with stationary, fabrics and crafts. One stop shop with all my favorite things on one floor 😆 by @compass.needles

🦴 Fossils & Flora 🌷

Our brand new Fossils & Flora Collection is coming next week for @gbfaf and what better way to introduce it than a Doodle Mash Up to last the ages?!

Our Doodle Cowl Set features dinosaurs 🦖, an overturned Jeep, amber 🦟 and fossils 🦴 from the Dino 🦕 Doodle paired with DNA 🧬, microscopes 🔬, and cells from the Science 🧫 Doodle and the helicopter 🚁 from the Travel Doodle! The best part?! Pulled from the Cheese 🧀 Doodle - a squeeze cheese can was used to create the iconic Barbasol can. 😂

Our Fossil & Flora Collection will be available on Friday, April 17th at 10 am MT online and in person at Great Basin Fiber Arts Fair.

Another finished object of 2025 that needs a square is my #sundialwrap

This colorful mosaic wrap is knit from the Autumn Equinox Countdown box by @yarnaceous that was as much fun to knit as it was to open each little mini skein in first half of September leading up to the Autumn Equinox. Something this colorful goes with pretty much anything and everything, so its been a great staple in my cool weather wardrobe.

As the end of the year is sneaking up, I figure there are a few projects I finished this year that need their own square on this app.
First off is probably one of my favorite projects I completed this year, my #drkbirchpullover
I finished it back in August when it was just too warm to take photos. But now that is actually chilly and I've found some motivation to take pictures, here we are.
This sweater has really become one of my go-tos as far as being cozy at work. I'm kind of obsessed with the texture half fisherman's rib creates. And this 'Vintage Tea Towel' colorway by @saltyblondefiber is gorgeous! ❤️ 10/10 would recommend this pattern and yarn 😁

Just about half way through the @yarnaceous Bone To Bone Advent and it has been a delight to open every day! I'm loving the earthy neutrals fading into gentle pinks, really does remind me of any road trip through central and southern parts of Utah! by @compass.needles

The creativity has been hitting hard this week and I've been trying to knit as fast as I can to keep up with some of the better ideas.
I'm extremely excited to come up with something specifically for my @seekstudio community this year. I'm planning to have a very limited quantity of these Christmas ornaments with me at the Small Business Saturday Wellness and Art Market. So come to the market early if you want one! by @compass.needles

Can I just say how grateful I am that this little hobby is so travel friendly ✈️
Did I maybe pack five projects to take with me on my work trip to Denver this past week... maybe... And did I only get to work on two of them... well at least I was prepared 😆 by @compass.needles

Happy first day of fall! 🍂 Seems like a good time to share this delightful Autumn Equinox Countdown box from @yarnaceous and the #sundialwrap I decided would be a fun project for all the colorful mini skeins. It's always nice when you're equally excited to knit the project as well as getting to wear it when it's done.

And how cute is that bag and matching sticker!? by @compass.needles

Getting back to the little tradition of going camping for my birthday (or just getting away in general). Plus, we had a new event to celebrate, it's officially been one year since my husband's kidney transplant! So it only seemed appropriate to get away for a few days and enjoy being outside, something that would have taken a lot of planning and coordination when he was on dialysis. And why not get away somewhere we both love, Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP. And with hardly any service at the campground, so much knitting around the campfire. Couldn't ask for a better time 😄 by @compass.needles
