3 players. 1 drill. Everyone has a job. 🎾

Net player:
Volley → overhead → repeat.

Baseline:
Volley received → lob.
Overhead received → drive.

The net player works on closing, split-step timing and controlling the net, while the baseline players get return-style drive reps and defensive lob reps.

⏱️ 3 minutes each

Do you move efficiently?
.
❇️ 85% of the balls we hit during play in tennis are within two/three steps of the middle.
.
👉This drill is a great way to work on the fundamentals of footwork. It consists of shadowing 8 shots (5 forehands, 3 backhands) and is meant to work on cleaning up your footwork starting with your split step and first step to and from the point of contact.
.
🔑Try to work on moving softer with less heavy steps so that strokes “flow” from one to the other.
.
.
⏺Tab a buddy who could use some help with their footwork 👇

One-on-One Doubles might be one of the best formats for developing a true all-court player. 🎾

You have to serve & volley on both first and second serves, and volley + overhead winners are worth 2 points.

But the game is about much more than just getting to the net.

You still have to:
• Serve with purpose
• Return well
• Make a quality first volley
• Run effective patterns
• Finish when the opportunity is there

Such a fun way to bring more variety, creativity, and all-court tennis back into the game.

Big thanks to Ed Krass for putting on the event & Mike Smookler for hosting us at @west_orange_tennis_club

I finished the day winning 7 short sets to 4 and dropped just one game in the final. 🏆

Championship point to close it out.

Tecnifibre unboxing 📦🎾

@tecnifibre absolutely loaded this box up 😂

Plenty of fresh kit & strings…but obviously I was waiting to see what was hiding in the bigger box 👀

Safe to say the new sticks will be getting put to work immediately.

Which piece are you taking first?

Tennis belongs everywhere—even in the middle of Hudson Yards. 🎾

Grateful to @usta and @usta_eastern for inviting Complete Court to be part of the US Open Experience and bring tennis directly to the NYC community.

We traded the full-size court for short courts, 23” racquets and red balls, spending the hour rallying, competing and introducing people of all ages to the game. Some had played before. Some were picking up a racquet for the first time. Everyone got involved.

This is how we grow the game: make it welcoming, make it fun and give people a reason to come back.

Thank you to everyone who stepped on court with us—and to USTA and USTA Eastern for trusting Complete Court as a local community partner. 💚

Thank you to @jahnavi.vaghasia @rvaghasia @sejalvaghasia @nateroberman for all the energy and help!

Your serve isn’t finished at contact. 🎾

Watch where the split step lands on the first rep — right around the baseline.

The goal is to recover behind the baseline and create enough space before the return arrives.

That gives you more room against a deep return and allows you to step forward into the next ball when the opportunity is there.

We used the XPand belt to exaggerate the recovery, then removed the resistance and kept the movement.

Serve → recover → split → next ball.

Thought hitting 8 cones would be easy… 😅🎾

25 minutes later: 6/8.

Serve accuracy is a different kind of grind.

How long do you think it would take you to get all 8?

Tried to take down the ACEMATE “Maestro” in a game to 4… and barely got out of there 😅🎾

Down to the wire, but I edged it 4–3.

Way tougher than I expected and a fun way to turn a training session into something competitive.

Want to try the challenge yourself? ACEMATE link in bio.

Weekend away in the Cotswolds… still found a court. 🎾🌿

One of the most peaceful places I’ve ever hit.

Can you hold your pattern without forcing the point? 🎾

This 2–1, 1–1 drill is about discipline:

• play with margin
• use height over the net
• keep the ball out of the middle
• make the defender move
• prioritize consistency over winners

The pole gives the player a visual reference for both height and direction.

Run the pattern continuously for 3 minutes and see how long you can maintain your targets without breaking down.
