I left LA to spend 3 days in the middle of the desert with nothing but myself and my music equipment. The sunsets, sunrises and more stars than I’ve ever seen almost make me want to live there. Peep the last slide for my secret sauce vocal setup 🎤

Here’s what I learned:
1. Staying “busy” does not equal productivity. Sometimes the most productive thing I found I could actually do was nothing. Daydream. Let my mind wander. My best ideas came when I was bored.
2. I caught myself rushing out of habit. I had nowhere to be. I was in the middle of the desert with no plan, other than to make tunes and do absolutely nothing. Making tunes would still be there when I’m done eating or going for a walk. Living in a place like LA will often make me feel like I need to squeeze the potential out of every day. Hustle. Get after it. Do More. Don’t sleep. I’m not convinced that’s the best way to live anymore.
3. GTFO of home often. I’m blessed enough that I’m able to “work” from home. That also means that I don’t ever have to leave if I don’t want to. Is it really home if I feel like I need to be working all the time while I’m there? If any of you full time work from homers have any tips I’d greatly appreciate them, cuz I’m still figuring it out.
Anyways, I love you guys. Thanks for sticking around with me through this crazy musical journey. I’m working on the next project and I’m hyped to share it with you all soon 🤍

I never realized how much the meaning of this song would also apply to places.
Every city changes you just like every relationship changes you. There’s a version of you that can ONLY exist in the place you’re in. Every new city unlocks a new version of you.
Don’t be afraid to change yourself overnight. Leave home. Move across the country. Cut your hair. Give yourself a new nickname. Each new place molds us in ways we don’t even realize. So the question is: do you like who you’ve become?
