(circa 1988) The ladies of The Break-n-Boogie Crew are the heartbreakers of the group; and contrary to popular belief, these two are business minded and keep the other members on their toes. Regularly summoning ideas to progress the crew into the forefront of the culture. BBC has certainly created a buzz within NYC, and the ladies intend to keep it that way.

Didi has her finger on the pulse of the hip hop fashion trends, and has ideas to merge the look with high fashion culture. Her savvy sense of style, combined with a charismatic personality makes it easy to predict her bright future.

Mo’ Money is the quiet one of the group. She often express herself creatively, mostly through dance. However, her ability to make ideas into reality is what makes her a shining star. Recently, she used her contacts at NYU to score Didi an endorsement deal for the group. Now, Pepsi will sponsor and promote events at the crew’s venue, and use Didi advertisements throughout urban communities in NYC.

Meet the other two fellow members of the Break-n-Boogie Crew (BBC). Passion for the art and culture makes these two younger comrades stand out from the rest.

He’s 22, and is known as Remo among his fiends in the neighborhood. However, his mother named him, Raul Ramirez; and his family resides in Spanish Harlem. The Uptown flavor is easily recognizable in Remo’s sense of fashion. It is also how he approaches life, with sensibility and coordination. As a part time student of Queens University, Remo plans on graduating with a degree in Business Accounting. In the meantime, between studying for exams and ‘battling’ other break dancers; Remo works part time at the local bodega.

Mo’ Money, is what the other crew members nicknamed her. At 21, her schedule is full as a student attending NYU. However, she still makes time to express herself artistically through graffiti and dance. Her creative side is respected, and although she’s the baby of the bunch, her peers hold her in high regard. Monica Lyn currently dwells in Long Island and loves socializing at parties and dancing to her favorite hip hop songs. Whether at a concert or hanging with her crew, Mo’ Money knows exactly how to keep it true.

2 members of the BBC (Break-n-Boogie Crew), circa 1988. The Boogie Down Bronx is where this crew hails from. A four member group who share a love for the hip hop culture, and making their way in the world as rebels.

Meet Desireé Williams, nickname ‘Didi’. As a native of Jamaica Queens, New York she spends most of her days as a Night Manager at Bloomingdale’s. Her hobbies include: fashion design, event planning & dancing. She prides herself as a trendsetter in the burgeoning world of hip hop. Whether it is the latest song, a new rap group or a fresh new move, she leads the pack and is a mainstay in the culture. At only 23 years old, Didi is set to rise in this American subculture.

Also seen here is, Fredrick Paige (Ricky Dallas). Originally from Texas, Ricky transplanted to the Bronx at an early age and made New York his home, along with his family. Immersed in the fast paced lifestyle of NYC, Paige has made a way for himself amidst all the odds. While only 27 years old, he co-owns a nightclub venue that is known to host some of the hottest after parties in the rap scene. Whether it’s an album release, breaking a new act or celebrating a music award, Ricky keeps himself in the know and has a ‘direct line’ to the upper crust of the hip hop world. As a member of BBC, he prides himself in turning his passion for hip hop into a profitable business venture.
