Had the privilege of supporting the founder, Aaron, this week at the Hy-Vee Opportunity: Supplier Summit. What a great story too. Up to this point he has developed each product through tedious R&D, using just 6 real ingredients and used his own hands to bake each batch over the last 2.5 years in a commissary kitchen. Based out of NYC, ask your local retailer (🤞very soon at your local @hyvee ), gym or anyone who could merchandise these to bring them in. Must be gluten and dairy friendly. They won’t be disappointed. 😋✌️❤️

Magical trip to visit @driftlessprovisions this week. Liesel the Diesel loved stretching her legs on the highway for the trip, getting almost 30mpg. Windows down and sunroof open the whole way. We camped, rode a river ferry and picked apples at the historic orchard @seed_savers_exchange 🤯🤯🤯 by @comtedaddy

Peppa says she wants to ball, so we are doing it again folks. Board and Ball tomorrow, August 23rd from 3-7pm. The ball portion of Board and Ball got rained out yesterday. Am sad to have missed you this week, but it wasn’t meant to be. Attendance was light, but we still boarded hard, I won’t stop spreading this love and building community. Happy Bastille Day! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and what you can expect to find here. My name is Dayton (DC) and I have built a career in food. I have from my earliest memories and my mom‘s testimony been food centered, by the end of college I was hooked. I could tell that food held my attention and engaged all of my senses, which was intoxicating. I moved abroad to Europe in 2005 with a one way ticket and the mind that I was dedicating myself to a life of learning in this field. I have been fortunate to see and work in so many areas over the years, from farms, processing, distribution, starred restaurants to fast causal, retail and national sales management. One thing I have learned is that food is a representative of our culture and a beautiful love language to communicate who we are. Food brings us together to build communities and helps heal us. That is the wide angle view of what @comtedaddy and Meat in the Middle mean to me. I hope to spread peace, love and yummy food that inspires connection. I will likely use exclusive ingredients but promise that the space I am building here will never be pretentious or exclude folks from being included.
