always rooted around our people

we each have a unique set of creatives that form our rolodex, but no way to bring them into one real space to crew, put on, collaborate with

almost ready to walk you thru the new app and design with a completely new visual for how your phonebook looks on concept

don’t miss the call

everything we do is rooted in the people, so creating spaces in real life that bridge the connections we’re building online only feels that much stronger

make art with people who make you feel alive
concept cafe

so many of you braved the torrential downpour to warm up our cafe. coffee shops have always been some of our favorite spaces, so we rebuilt one just for our people. we launched our first zine [ proof of concept ] to tell you about what it means to be in our world. thanks for bringing your electric energy

couldn’t have done it without

our coffee connoisseur @isaiahhattix with @clubcrema.nyc pulling the shots

our selectors @urkanmani @soulacoasta @sol.uuuna & @akhil_bhasin setting the vibe

& so many friends that helped bring the vision to life

we printed a magazine, come grab a copy

everything happening on concept, the phonebooks, the projects, the studios is all about the people, the creatives that are on the ground making ideas happen. so we thought why not bring that out into your hands - come grab a copy this saturday at concept cafe

flutter was the first project we used a concept project for, and one of our favorites. the lyricism, production, and vision both @po.edik & @just_nenemusic crafted for the project was class and told a real story about their roots, upbringing and culture

so when we came in, it all came down to execution and curation. made so many decisions for all the moving parts and used concept as our canvas for the process:

• moodboarded the scene
• built character profiles for points in the narrative and pulled from our community of artists & creatives
• went out a did a closet pull with @beaconscloset bipoc creatives program
• worked with our choreographer @cecil23_ to bring movement into the piece as a standout element, and bring out a crew that just got it

wouldn’t have happened without this star team, the right people make or break it
