Fresh off two unforgettable nights at Boogieball, we’re keeping the music going!

Before we ease into a short summer break, we’ve got a few more stops.

That was Boogieball 2026. 💙

Two nights where the music never really stopped.

Where legends and local talent shared the stage.

Where DJs set the tone, plates were passed around, glasses were raised, jam sessions took over, dancefloors stayed alive and every corner of BIRD carried its own story.

Celebrating 15 years of BIRD made this one even more meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who brought their sound, their style, their energy and their love.

This one is for the artists. The collaborators. The believers. The people who showed up before the hype.

As part of BIRD’s 15 Years: One Love, we’re celebrating the future with a special Alternate Takes Anniversary Edition. Alternate Takes is where we back tomorrow’s artists today, a space for fresh perspectives and the future of jazz, soul and Black music in all its forms.

On 24 September, expect live sets by The Nest Vol. 5, Neema Nekesa, NEWĀRK, Anda Electronix, Djitt and Lolo throughout the evening.

Together with our long-time partners @cult.north , @denieuwelichting , @house.of.knowledge and @oshi_community , we’re bringing together the artists shaping the next chapter of Rotterdam’s music scene. Each partner has invited an artist they believe deserves your attention right now. 🎶

For fifteen years, BIRD has been a place where talent grows. This night celebrates the community that makes it happen and the artists who’ll be shaping the next fifteen.

THEE SINSEERS ARE BACK AT BIRD.

If you caught their last show here, you know. A packed room, people moving closer to the stage and soul filling every corner of BIRD.

On 25 September, the East LA band returns with their signature mix of sweet soul, vintage R&B and lowrider grooves, plus music from their latest album Love Stories.

This time, they join us right in the middle of ONE LOVE, celebrating 15 years of music, food, culture and community at BIRD.

The Final night of our two weeks of celebrating 15 years of BIRD with Kay Slice @kayslicemusic and his “ I Take U Highlife Tour”.

Ghanaian highlife meets hip hop, jazz, soul and afrobeat. Rooted in heritage, made for right now. Live percussion, Ghanaian rhythms, storytelling and plenty of groove.

A fitting finale for 15 years of music, food, culture and community at BIRD.

For this special edition, we’re joining forces with OSHI @oshi_community, connecting emerging talent and creative scenes.

15 years of BIRD means celebrating what has always been at our core, talent, community and the jam.

Steam Down returns to BIRD after opening our Building Blocks series back in 2019. Now they’re back for a special BIRDsessions edition.

An exclusive clinic “The Art of Jamming”, followed by an open community jam where emerging talent and established musicians share the stage.

In collaboration with House of Knowledge @house.of.knowledge & OSHI @oshi_community .

The Nest Vol. 5 at North Sea Jazz.

Eñuat @enuat , Dane Paris @daneparis, Jaydian Daniel @jaydiandaniel and Lezaam Beets @lezaambeetsjazz21 took over the Central Park Stage 2 @northseajazz alongside Carolina Gemmell @carolina_gemmell, Diana Dzhabbar @dianasax and Julia Zahra @juliazahramusic, delivering a set that showed
exactly why investing in new and local artists matters.

They also got to jam with @kokorokomusic after their stunning performance.

Watching these musicians grow from The Nest at BIRD to one of the world’s leading jazz festivals is something we’re proud of every year. Every edition raises the bar, and this year was no different.

Thank you to every artist, musician and everyone who shared this moment with us. Thank you, North Sea Jazz, for making space for new voices. 💙

The journey continues.
