let me first start off by saying. I LOVE ROCK MUSIC 🤘🏽.

Ok now here’s some context. As I always do, I get caught in the #doomscroll… but on a random particular day, I came across a gem called @fatherofpeacegram with the song No complaints.
Now, as I often do, unknowingly start DJing in my head and thinking what goes good together… With that being said the song take me out by Franz Ferdinand immediately came up to my head and I got to work blending the two. And as things usually do,they snowball.

I heard the “whah whah” and immediately thought of one of the greatest bands ever Rage against the machine. The lead guitarist Tom Morello used a whah pedal in the song Bulls on parade. Then the snowball continued hearing the lyrics from Kendrick Lamar maad city.

Now piecing all of these tracks together was no easy task… I wanted to challenge myself again and not use Ableton to make any edits. I wanted to do everything as it was intended on their tracks and this is what we got. Enjoy.

Downtown Las Vegas got loud for Perreo City at Gold Spike. 🔥

We caught the movement, the faces, the bass, and the energy exactly how it felt — raw, unfiltered, and impossible to stand still.

No color needed.
The night spoke for itself.

🚨 WEEKEND RECAP 🚨

I know I should’ve been doing these vlog-style recaps a long time ago — but we’re here now, so let’s get into it.

The night kicks off by heading over to Golden Gai (@goldengailv) Speakeasy, tucked inside WAKUDA (@wakudavegas ) Restaurant at the Palazzo Hotel. The whole set is deep and Afro house music, and if you’ve never been — the food alone is worth the trip. If you’re into Japanese cuisine and don’t mind being on the higher end of the price range, this place is an absolute must.

Once the set wraps, we immediately move over to Drais After Hours (@draisafterhours) inside the Vanderpump Hotel — formerly known as the Cromwell. This spot needs no introduction. It’s been a legendary staple in Las Vegas for years, keeping the party alive well into the early morning. The energy in there is always on another level, full of people who aren’t ready to let the night end.
After my shift wraps at 5 AM, it’s finally time to head home and get some rest.

And that’s just a small glimpse into what a normal working weekend looks like for a DJ in Las Vegas. 🎧

Dj edits 101

In this video, these are my subjectively top three opinions on what you need to do when it comes to making Dj edits

1. Make sure that your tracks are in the same key (I would have like to touch more on this subject. But sometimes analyzing your song may be wrong. The Dj software may sometimes pick up the tone of the vocal or the tone of the instrumental, so make sure that whichever one you’re choosing that it is properly in.)
2. Make sure you are warping your song correctly. Just because your songs may be in the same BPM range does not always mean that they sync up correctly put in the work and be tedious about your warping.
3. Your master chain is going to make your track stand out. I’ve talked with a lot of Dj editors for record pools and a big problem is that the tracks are either way too loud and compressed or way too low and does not hit. Make sure that your track KNOCKS!
