My 3D Macaron Easter basket was inspired by @petite.meringue and @phay_shing who recently demonstrated how to use this basketweave technique with macaron batter.

I used a #47 piping tip and piped two layers for extra thickness. Watching the basket come to life was definitely a bit of a thrill for me. I knew weeks ago that I had to make pastel rainbow macaron shells shaped like Easter eggs to fill the basket.

Once again, special thanks to my old friend @lyndahcobb for her expertise in styling the photoshoot from afar. 😘

Pink Parrot Tulips in a Pink Pot. 🩷🩷

I learned this fun technique for making tulips 🌷 with macaron batter by watching a 2022 IG post from @the.white.whisk. You can also find it on her blog.

I grew up in New Orleans in the 1960’s and celebrate Mardi Gras every year no matter where I live. This year I made 💜💛💚 mini macarons and arranged them into a string of Mardi Gras beads with a fleur de lis ⚜️ medallion. These cute little minis are filled with matching marshmallow fluff.

For this Candy Bar Macaron theme I made Almond Joy macarons with a coconut filling inside a chocolate ganache ring as well as Butterfinger macarons with homemade Butterfinger filling using my new favorite recipe from @thechocolatefoody. I dipped both flavors in melted milk chocolate to make them extra pretty.

This morning I decided to bring my Chocolate Espresso filled Velvet Macarons to @perennbakery in Reno to enjoy them with my almond milk latte and do a little photoshoot. Once I finished with the pics I gifted the rest to the sweet staff members here.

It was fun trying this technique which involves grinding up shells from another batch and sprinkling the macaron dust over a new batch of shells before baking.

This month’s macaron theme is Sprinkles. 🥳✨ I ended up making my first macaron ice cream sandwiches for today as well as some Neapolitan colored macaron shells filled with birthday cake buttercream. I really love the process of making macarons but taking pictures for social media is super stressful for me. And by myself, I’m just not very good at it. Anyway, here are some of the pictures I took, including the hot mess express that was supposed to be something resembling an ice cream 🍦 sundae. 🫣
