PURE LIGHT

This is a compilation of similarly themed pictures taken between Gregorian 2024-2025. I've wanted them all in one spot so I can refer to them easily and look at them anytime I want (provided that I have an Internet connection, of course).

I love the colour of the mid day sky. It is practically fluorescent in its saturation and hue. This has been true in all the places I've found myself on a clear (or mostly clear) day on this beautiful spaceship planet.

I also like finding ways to catch the nuances of the light of the sun as it filters through leaves, petals, and clouds. The colours of blossoms and leaves against that mid day sky is particularly striking to my eye, my sensibilities, my inspiration.

I haven't painted in months as of writing this post. These are pictures that help me to remember the things that inspire my art. I am reminded in reflecting here, with these pictures I've taken, of how important light is to my process, both internal and external. I suppose that makes sense for a person who enjoys drawing and painting scenes where plants and flowers are a significant component.

One last thing — has anyone else read that you shouldn't take direct pictures of the sun? I've been doing it for years and I've never had any problems. It's another example of how strict observance of the rules may prevent a good outcome...

🔥 FULL MOON IN ARIES 🔥

Hopefully not a "fool" moon... Although I suppose there's nothing actually wrong with that.

It's been a while since I made a posty post in the tradition of the grid square/rhombus/parallelogram/rectangular images, for reasons. It isn't that I haven't been taking pictures, that's for sure...

None of us can know the timespan of seasons in our lives. We can determine some aspects of seasons of the Earth. For that, I am grateful.

Truthfully, I am grateful for many things. Yet, for being a Confesstress, I am actually feeling very guarded at present. That will change, I am sure!!

THE GREGORIAN MONTH OF MAY (so far...)

1-2: Tulip tree!

3-6: Office plant babies including Petra, Pepe, Princess Pilea, and yet-unnamed Spider Plant (which might get a P name to follow suit)

7: Time for another ribbon skirt

8-9: @rubyredris I found some ruby red irises!!!

10: Still a four leaf #confesstressfindsclovers

11-12: Park shots

13: Not well framed for 1:1 and this robin hatchling found on a footpath was taken to Frisky's Wildlife Sanctuary in Woodstock, MD.

14-17: Magickal parents in their magickal garden with many delights, including 6-sided strawberry blossom anomalies (they're usually only 5 petals), petunias with literal hearts on them, and baby grapes.

18: A harkening from my patio while electric ions of my body were being absorbed by magnetic ions of my electric screens.

19: Rest in Power, Gordon White, the most important magickian of our age. Many others already wrote about that, so this will be a space for my relationship to him. We never met in real life, but I was fortunate to be amongst those who met him in the aetheric dreamspace. Some people will say that isn't real and it doesn't count; those people simply do not understand. It is real and it does count in the magickal and indigenous traditions which underlie the baseline of how a person like me interfaces with the world. One dream was in Gregorian 2023. We were driving around the countryside in Tasmania, to then stop at a coffee shop and laugh at the absurdity of modernity, hypercapitalism, sigils, addiction, and human impulse. I had another dream of him the night that I learned he passed suddenly (of natural causes): He was in a garden level apartment where my mother was just leaving. She told me that he was "up too long" and "needed to sleep." I descended the stairs to his front door to find it ajar with a beautiful, brass star-shaped lock, and him standing in the threshold to greet me. His brilliant blue eyes were emphasized by obvious over-crying. He was calm, though, and I got to say goodbye. ❤️‍🩹 I will mourn him for the rest of my life.
