Mix IV topic - Community

This weeks topic was sent through by @lachiesoltau (always feel free to send through some recs. My brain falls flat sometimes)

Community can be a niche you have found with likeminded individuals. Your experience leaving your home community to look at bettering your own human experience, a calling you have stumbled upon from peers. The works, all entirely open to your own personal perspective.
Confide in me
Hit up the dms or shoot through and email

As always, send through a 15-30 second voice note or a message for me to read on your behalf

I’m excited to hear about it all!

confidante mix III topic

Conversation

conversation was to lead to this radio show even starting and i want to hear all about your conversations

something that was said that altered your perception of the situation. a mannerism that someone has picked up from you, something that people do during conversation that makes you feel more understood, or even a moment during a conversation that makes you feel good

get as self indulgent as you please and send a 15-30 second voice memo to my email or dm’s

confidante radio

New mix, new topic, new songs, new look, every week

From 2019-2021 I created a 4 song mix & posted it to Soundcloud anonymously. Since then my ambition had been scrupled to the ground while studying in my hometown, almost forcing me to pull the plug on all things music. My love for music never ended, but the act of anything becoming or making a project of my own seemed pointless and demeaning to my ego. Recently, I took a step back & forced myself to pick up my guitar, had a shift to buy an upright piano & just create something. Instruments seemed the right place to go until I looked at it all from an outside perspective & wrote down everything i love about music. Curation was a big stand out to me (Which is definitely not a niche experience) I love making playlists, thinking about album track lists & how much they’re thought out in placement of a body of work, & curating a sound based around a specific topic. A friend asked me when i was starting a blog? I replied & said I couldn’t, I’d be embarrassed. The thought rang in my ears for a little under a month until a switch flicked while listening to a few mixes on NTS and I recalled the mixes in 2019-2021, thought to myself “Hey, let’s bring that back.”

So with all that it mind I present Confidante. A radio curated around topics, close relationships & most importantly, the music.

you can email in a 15-30 second voice note based around the topic of choice & what it means to you to confidanteradio@outlook.com (next topic released friday)

Thanks for reading & I hope to hear from you soon
