Pleased to announce the second hour (2-3am) of the recording from my recent quest down the Ouse is now available to stream on SoundCloud. Personally this is a landmark piece of raw, unedited audio, fully live, all hardware. It comes from the second hour of the set, by which point I had settle into the groove and was beginning to explore. For the first time I really feel like we captured the energy of what I’m trying to do in a live context, and I’m properly happy to have something that reflects the experience in the room. (TMI section:) I was getting increasingly nervous in the lead up to this set for a number of reasons - It was my first 2 hour live set, in a city I had not yet visited, playing to a club and crowd I had heard only great things about. Luckily for me I was in the trusty hands of the lovely @leo.robin__ , Kate, Mark and all the amazing people of @cobaltstudios.ouseburn all of which I have to thank for an unforgettable weekend, now available to be re-enjoyed in the form of an hour long WAV file :). by @confitdub

Excited to join the beautiful crew at Love Inn next Thursday for an Inn Session. the cavalry have been called. 3 vinyl heavyweights and a serious workout for the house 1210s inbound. @taralilymood // @shakti.jazz 2200 - 0000. Tara effortlessly draws the lines between Jazz and contemporary electronica, whilst strongly referencing her Bengali heritage, there is also a spiritual/ meditative awareness in all aspects of her practice. @amaia__dj @treadaway.finn @confitdub b3b 0000 - Close — Old forces join together once more for an epic b3b of musical transcendence. Amaia and Finn, no strangers to the dancefloors of Bristol - will no doubt roll up bags stuffed to the brim with oddities and curveballs. your auto Shazam ain’t ready by @confitdub

pembrokshire bound for a weekend of interactive workshops with @voidbristol @westival.wales 🤠 Friday and Saturday I’ll be running two workshops - The first will cover tools and techniques to build bespoke soundscapes, which will explore compositional and performative approaches to textural sound design. I will also be running a hardware beat workshop, exploring drum synthesis and groove creation for tech house and electro. This will equally explore drum synthesis and sampling as techniques for building loops/ideas. Both workshops will be interactive and accompanied by performances/demos. 📸: @ppphumbert @pascal_philm by @confitdub

dub / dub techno at the arc

How Du returns to the arc for a second session, joined by Confitdub live — Bruno Dimitrov’s dub driven project — and a DJ set from Stringer.

Deep rhythms, delay soaked textures, warm low end and proper room pressure.

No hype circus. Just a proper session. taken in Arc Bar by @confitdub

INTRODUCING: @confitdub (aka Bruno Dimitrov)

CONFIT DUB is a Bristol-based DJ and live act offering a distinctive take on contemporary dance music. Working primarily with hardware, his club-focused sets move through minimal, dub techno, breaksy electro, and more acidic territories.

Confit Dub approaches performance as an evolving, process-led practice. He slowly unfolds dense layers of sound to deliver a subtly evolving, immersive experience filled with deep atmosphere and texture.

His sets and productions blend dub-influenced rhythms, downtempo pulse, and spacious textures, favouring subtle shifts over fixed structures.

SWIPE ALONG TO SEE SOME LIVE IMPROVISATION FROM THE MAN HIMSELF.

We can’t express how impressed we were with his set for @dismantle_collective last November. We’re over the moon to see what he delivers this Saturday :)
