These past 3 months have been challenging & trying. From work, gym, home & what little social life I have. I was hiding in my bed & found Sundays to be the best day & time to do it(missing church). Today, I told myself you have to stop feeling like the world has to be saved by you & you can’t heal, help or be there for everyone like you can, should or want to be.
I found myself feeling alone, hurt, selfish, used, abused, angry even mad because what I was saying & trying to do wasn’t showing. Carrying burden & guilt on my shoulders because I didn’t have or couldn’t. I felt like I have holes in my pocket, over worked and under paid. I felt like I was the only child, the only one that stood out but couldn’t get up. I started reading my Bible every day & writing in my journal. Here comes death, car issues, then the stomach pains & headaches out of nowhere. Lord, why now, now what? If it ain’t one thing it’s another. Hearing my momma voice, “You getting older, things changing, you got to keep praying”.
It’s not gone always be dark. It’s not always gone be rainy days. You have to know WHO & WHOSE you are. Had to be careful what I was speaking & thinking & agreeing to. I looked in the mirror & started talking to myself. I had to remind myself who I WAS & what I AM. My circle got small but my FRIENDS & FAMILY have been bigger. Share your weakness to make someone else strong. We NOT perfect, we’re humans with imperfections. Don’t think you’re bigger, better or greater than the next, cause it’s already in YOU. Get up. Let’s Get It. Don’t allow nothing or nobody STEAL what you have worked hard for. I Love Me. I Love You. People are so quick to judge you based off the things you post, do & say. I still get asked why I don’t when they not. I thank GOD who has allowed Me to still look, go & feel like I do at 42. By now I should have, would have but, I will at 42. I have a year to keep Faith, Goals, L❤️VE, Hope, Revolving with, amongst & around those who really genuinely L❤️VE & care about Me at 42. I will not feel bad because someone has made a comment, perception or doubt about Me at 42. I can dance until my feet bleed, show my Blessings if skin is involved & even submit to Me & only Me at 42. I’m enjoying an age many won’t see, partially seen & don’t remember. I’m at the PRIME of My Life at 42. My Health is Good. My Mind is Better. My LIFE IS about to Change for GREATER at 42. I decided to fast from social media, it was personal. While I been gone I have realized I didn’t miss anything but upcoming concerts. It’s more to life besides swiping. I FELL SO DEEP IN LOVE WITH MYSELF. I kept allowing doors and windows to be opened when it’s raining. I accepted that at 41, I’m still able if I wanted to. I can still have a relationship with God even when people point fingers and don’t see the beam in their own eyes. Cancer took 2 people I grew up with and my brother in Christ died on a field he loved from a heart attack, we all were the same age. Fear sets in cause I’m not ready to see where 42 gone take Me. Graduations. Congratulations. Unions. I had people walk away from me, because that’s not how u conduct business. Payed my way and still didn’t go. Being ignored had me reach and reach until I found myself tipping over. Naw sis, straighten back up. You asked for it and gave it, forgiveness that is. My cousin showing me another way. Car needs more than what it cost but He paid for. Unfortunately still the topic of discussion AND I accept people for who they are because some don’t know the meaning of REAL anymore. Cancelled family trips and reunions cause no one wants to come together. Oh I’ll see them at the next funeral. Can’t talk no one is listening. Can’t love because your asked, what is that. I’m not giving up on nothing and nobody because I feel, I know, I see that it’s more to LIFE than what’s before ME. I forgot to tell y’all, I’m STILL single. Not forgetting ME. God allows, God provides, God IS, WILL, DOES & SHALL. But who, what? when, where? & Why Not. Don’t give up on GOD. Don’t give up on YOU. Embrace your walk, your talk, your looks. Everybody got they own tune yet some will jump on the bandwagon. Missing people. Losing people. Finding what works for ME. Y’all can hold on to the memories and bonds.
