It saddens us to say that Christian Micheal has withdrawn from this year's voting for Person of the Year. We hoped he would reconsider. We stand behind the decision to have included him in this year's poll. Our exclusive interviews and the title of Person of the Year is intended to provide a platform and an equal opportunity for anyone who has contributed their talents to the art of drag here in state. The nominees were not selected by us, they were chosen by you, based on your engagement and activity as readers. His article was the second most read exclusive interview this year. Regardless of the engagement, his incredible talent earned him the interview in the first place, and he deserved to have had his place in this year's poll. We remain committed to highlighting, celebrating, and uplifting every aspect of our diverse drag community, including the people and organizations whose contributions extend beyond drag performance. - ConnecticutDrag.com by @connecticutdrag
