Yesterday I spent the first of two days learning, receiving and raising my vibration. ✨

Less than ten years ago, I wasn’t really familiar with Louise Hay or her publishing house, @hayhouseinc which she started at age 60.

This Thursday, 10/8, Louise Hay would have celebrated her 100th birthday. She lived into her early 90s and is well known for her mantra, “Change your thoughts, change your life,” as well as so many other teachings about the connection between our thoughts, our emotions and our physical bodies.

A big part of Louise’s work is mirror work.

At lunch there was this beautiful mirror in the restaurant, so I snapped a photo.

Then I asked AI to help me build some affirmations around the mirror, another piece of Louise’s imprint on the world, brought to life in a new way.

Maybe a little old wisdom meeting new possibilities. ✨

There were so many amazing speakers, lessons and moments yesterday, and more to come today. For now, I’m just taking it all in and allowing myself to learn and receive.

Tell me — are you familiar with mirror work or Louise Hay?

Happy to share more if you want to know more. ❤️ by @connectwithannmarie

Many women have become so skilled at anticipating the needs of everyone around them that it no longer feels like something they’re actively doing. It simply becomes the way they move through the day.

They notice what needs attention before anyone else does, remember the details that might otherwise be forgotten, + carry responsibilities that often go unseen.

Over time, that way of showing up can become so familiar that it leaves very little space to notice what they themselves need.

There is a difference between being thoughtful + believing it’s your responsibility to carry everything before anyone has the opportunity to ask.

Life doesn’t require us to anticipate every need, solve every problem, or hold every piece together on our own. Sometimes it asks us to trust that others are capable, communicate what we need, + allow support to meet us where we are.

As you reflect on your week and plan for the weekend, I hope you’ll notice where you may be carrying more than is yours to hold.

Who takes care of the person everyone else relies on?

Many high-achieving women become so accustomed to showing up for everyone around them that caring for themselves gradually moves to the bottom of the list.

It often comes from a genuine desire to support the people who depend on us. After all the work we do + the people we care + the responsibilities we carry matter to us deeply.

Over time, it becomes easy to believe that caring for ourselves can wait until everything else has been taken care of, although that moment rarely arrives on its own.

Protecting your energy happens through the small decisions we make each day: honoring our boundaries, making room for rest, allowing ourselves to receive support, + paying attention to what restores us along the way.

Perhaps one of the most important ways we can support the people who rely on us is by making sure we’re also caring for ourselves.
How are you caring for yourself this week?

Fall isn’t only a season of letting go.

It’s also a season of recognizing what’s grown.

As the seasons begin to change, I find myself reflecting less on what I haven’t accomplished and more on what this year has taught me.

✔️ What has taken root?
✔️ What feels stronger than it did a year ago?
✔️ What no longer needs quite so much of my energy?

We spend so much time measuring ourselves by what’s left to do that we rarely pause to notice how far we’ve come and how much has shifted or taken shape.

Maybe this season isn’t asking you to do more. Maybe it’s inviting you to appreciate what’s already here, to celebrate the progress that isn’t always visible, and to redefine what enough looks like for this chapter of your life.

Because “enough” isn’t a finish line.

It’s a decision to honor your capacity, your priorities, and the life you’re intentionally creating.

As we move into fall, I’m curious to hear where you have grown this year that deserves a little more acknowledgment before you move on to what’s next.

How are you showing up for what matters to you this month?

September’s focus on accountability has me thinking about the commitments we make to ourselves + what it looks like to continue honoring them as real life unfolds.

There may be things you’ve followed through on, places where your priorities have shifted, + intentions that need a little more attention. This check-in is an opportunity to notice all of it + decide how you want to move forward from here.

Take what you need from these questions, + give yourself permission to adjust along the way.

Overcommitment doesn’t always look chaotic.

Sometimes it looks like a perfectly managed calendar, back-to-back meetings, + a smile that says, “I’ve got it handled.”

Over time, constantly saying yes can quietly cost us more than we realize. It leaves less room to think, less space to rest, + less capacity to be fully present with the people and priorities that matter most.

I remember feeling that way when I owned my tech business. More than anything, I wanted time to think.

Today, I intentionally build space into my calendar for rest, reflection, + simply allowing my mind to breathe because I’ve learned that’s often where my best ideas begin.

Creating that space didn’t happen overnight, but it changed the way I work, lead, + live.

And I still have seasons of my life where I struggle to find the time, so I too, need this reminder.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect.

Protecting our energy often begins with paying attention to what we’ve been carrying for far too long.

Many of us have spent years saying yes before we’ve had a chance to pause, taking on responsibilities that were never ours alone, or believing we have to hold everything together for everyone around us.

Those patterns don’t disappear overnight, and letting go of them doesn’t mean we care any less. It simply creates more space to lead, connect, + move through life with greater intention.

As you read through these slides, I invite you to notice if there’s something you’ve been carrying that no longer belongs to you.

Which one resonated with you the most?

When life starts to feel off, it’s often not because you’re doing too little, it’s because what you’re doing isn’t aligned.

One of the most grounding things you can do is return to your values.

What actually matters to you now? Not just what did five years ago, or what you think should matter?

Your values can shift as you evolve + when they do, you’re invited to recalibrate.

If it’s been a while since you’ve checked in with your values, take a moment this week to do just that.

Write them down. Reflect. Ask yourself if your current choices reflect what matters to you most today!

Need help clarifying your values or realigning with them? Send me a message. I’d love to chat about how this practice can support the season you’re in.

Or comment below to receive an invite to my upcoming core values workshop, which will be offered before the end of the year. It will offer a great opportunity to revisit your core values in a group setting and with my coaching help.

We’re already a little way into September, which actually feels pretty fitting for the word I’ve chosen for this month.

Accountability.

Because accountability feels like it might judge that we didn’t start perfectly on September 1, but the version of accountability I am talking about doesn’t require that perfect timing.

It just asks us to start.

Reflecting back on our journey together:

In July, explored Freedom.

In August, Possibility.

And for September, I’ve chosen a word that may not feel as inspiring at first.

Accountability.

Stay with me. 😊

Because I’m not talking about accountability as pressure, perfection or someone checking whether you did what you said you were going to do.

I’m thinking about it differently.

Accountability as showing up for what matters to you.

Freedom gives us permission to choose.

Possibility allows us to imagine what could be.

But eventually, possibility asks us to participate.

To take a step.
To keep a promise to ourselves.
To ask for support.
To come back when we get off track.

So this month, I invite you to explore a softer, more human version of accountability with me.

Not “What should I be doing?”

But:

“What matters enough that I want to keep showing up for it?”

Freedom gave us permission.
Possibility asked us to imagine.
Accountability asks us to participate.

Maybe September 1 wasn’t your starting line either. It clearly wasn’t mine 😄

That’s okay.

Start where you are. ❤️

Many of us grow up believing success can be measured by a job title, a salary, or the next achievement.

While those things certainly have value, they tell only part of the story.

Over time, I’ve come to believe that a fulfilling life is shaped by so much more than what we give credit to.

Things such as the quality of our relationships, our well-being, the work that gives us purpose, the time we have to enjoy life, + the ways we continue to learn and grow all deserve a place in how we define success.

What would you add to your own definition of success?

Every day, we’re faced with decisions that shape the direction of our lives, from the opportunities we pursue to the commitments we make + the way we choose to spend our time.

When we’re clear about what matters most, those decisions become a little easier because they can be measured against the life we’re trying to create rather than the expectations, urgency, or distractions around us.

Clarity doesn’t happen overnight. It often develops through reflection, honest conversations, + a willingness to return to our values as life continues to evolve.

The vision you have for your life doesn’t need to be perfect. It simply needs to be clear enough to guide your next step.

Feel free to share what’s helping you stay connected to your vision right now.

Many of us have become incredibly skilled at sensing when someone else is struggling 💜 We notice the shift in their energy, pick up on what isn’t being said, and, like second nature, instinctively begin looking for ways to help.

➡️ While that ability can be a gift, it can also become exhausting when we begin absorbing every emotion, every challenge, + every responsibility that doesn’t belong to us.

There is a difference between observing someone’s experience + believing we have to carry it ourselves.

We can offer support, extend compassion, + remain fully present without losing ourselves in the process.

🫶🏼 Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is allow ourselves to witness what someone else is experiencing while remembering that their journey is still their own.

Through a lens of curiosity, start to notice where you can stay present without taking on what was never yours to hold.

If this resonates, feel free to share it with someone who might need the reminder.
