One of the best presents EVER!!! Matt got me a Meet and Greet with the great Paul Sidoti for my 50th birthday. Today was the day. Let me tell you guys, he's so much more than just the lead guitarist for Taylor Swift. His favorite instrument is actually the piano which he is fully self taught! We learned about his very early success with Jerry Lewis' son, Gary Lewis and the Playboys. Touring sold out crowds to those who wanted to relive the fun times of the 50s and 60s, to playing with countless icons from the 70, 80s and 90s including the legendary Eric Carmen, Bryan Adams, Rick Springfield and so many more. HIs work ethic and endless talent is what made him a shoo-in when he auditioned for Taylor. He's played with her since 2007. His whole career has culminated to recently being inducted into the Rock Godz hall of fame. Rock Godz honors the rock musicians and behind the scenes professionals who have shaped rock &roll... yep 100% would be Paul. Paul is also a family man. With 2 little ones and 1 on the way, I asked him how does he have the energy for everything he does...He loves it! He thrives on it all--Performing, producing new music, and of course spending time with the kids.He made sure to mention that he is so appreciative to his wife for all that she does. He gave so much credit to her and the phenomenal job she does as a mother. I admire how grounded and down to earth he is. All this ENORMOUS success, and here he is talking to Connie Essen and her girls on a Tuesday afternoon :) Paul Sidoti, it was truly a pleasure. Thanks again! Matt and I are so proud to announce its graduation week for Maddie and Haley! They are both graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Maddie will go on to continue her education at UNC Charlotte to complete her Masters in Athletic Training, and Haley will go on to attend Northeastern University, Charlotte to complete her Masters in Speech Language Pathology. Lots and Lots to celebrate!! GO NINERS!!!!

Caspian / Shamash is officially adoption ready! He is healing beautifully from his neuter, his spirit and body have healed from trauma. As promised, here's his glow up. #transformationtuesday

A few things to note for a future adopters:
1. Super dog friendly, plays well, is submissive. He loves dogs of all sizes, genders, and energies. He is great at sharing resources and genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs.
2. Respectful and kind with cats, even those with special needs.
3. Loves to snuggle, with all species especially humans!
4. Active and enjoys walks and hikes. Has excellent recall and no leash reactivity.
5. Housebroken since day 1.
6. Loves interacting with people of all ages.

All three of my girls are so involved with this wonderful organization since high school. Chloe is currently serving as the President of the chapter at UNC Charlotte, Maddie is in charge of social media and Haley is the treasurer! Best Buddies is an international organization that works to promote inclusion and friendship for those with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities! They also have programs aimed to help with independent housing and job placement for adults with an IDD! The friendship walk is an annual event held by the state chapter to fundraise to support organization’s mission!
