The secret to getting your ‘thing’ done? Start before you’re ready. I loved chatting to Conor about his film, creativity, collaboration and living your dreams 🎬💫 full episode in bio 🔗 by @conor_bowden

Also part of the Kiwi cinema celebrations recently, The Ungrateful Tenant premiered to a packed crowd at the Hollywood Avondale (with an orchestra playing alongside for the big event) 🎉 👏

A slapstick silent cinema experience, it’s a story of the capitalist hellscape of landlords, real estate agents and dodgy flatmates - and Cantabrians, there’s still time to catch the screening on 7 Aug.

Big congrats to director Conor Bowden and the clever team - and renters everywhere, this one’s for you!

It’s here! The full programme announcement for @nziff 2026.

We are thrilled to be part of the Māhutonga strand alongside an exciting collection of homegrown features.

In Tāmaki Makaurau we will be opening the Aotearoa Film Focus weekend with a live cinema performance of our score alongside the film, beautifully composed by @bilbum_baggins and performed by The Silent Chamber Orchestra.

A big thank you to @hollywoodavondale for being our home for this event, a theatre which started its cinema life at the tail end of the silent era. And to @aklcouncil for supporting this event through their Creative Communities Grant.
