Britney discourse is back. on October 7, @club.lore and @outta.line are bringing journalist Jeff Weiss (@passionweiss) to Toronto for a reception and talk on his brand-new novel “Waiting for Britney Spears.” It’s 6-10 PM at The Annex Hotel—and you’re invited to join us. Jeff is a legend (if you follow rap journalism, you’ll know his 03 Greedo and Drakeo coverage), and both @conordunner and I (@niko.fox) are beyond excited to hear him talk about the inside of the post-Y2K tabloid machine, and the ethics of covering vulnerable stars. so PSA: we are doing Y2K looks. bring out your Juicy Couture, your Ed Hardy, your denim-on-denim.
