Some stills of our most recent project that I finally get to share! 2 years ago was a small idea I brought to my friend @_.drapes._ about a man named Guy who would have everything stripped away from him. Now a small piece exists, that is the heart of something much larger and far more whimsical that we hope to create. One of the privileges of working on the music video set, was standing in amazement at how every person’s role played such an integral part to the whole of the production. Our 1st AD @jk33l_ had a beautiful way of balancing a spirit of punctuality and play in a fluid yet grounding way. There’s always the plan, and then the willingness to be flexible to the unexpected uproots to the plan. For some reason I am very sensitive to “hurry”, I either anxiously perform under stress and hope for the best, or benefit from channeling a sense of peace in the chaos and I remember feeling so grateful that the few setbacks which presented themselves to us as we geared up to get our first shot (with the fog in the bedroom) felt like nothing to worry about! On the other hand, there is a level of thrill brought to the room when someone fully commits to a conviction, and that is what I felt when @conrad_roussrad cinematographer extraordinaire was devoted to getting our last kitchen hallway shot. I remember our entire camera crew had to begin packing our things so that we didn’t stay overtime while this was being shot, we had just wrapped the dishwashing/candle scene in record time. That kitchen hallway shot is one of my favorites and it exists because of a “no scene left behind” spirit that Connor brought to the team in a huge way.
