![SELN presents a special two show UK outing with EBM vanguards Years of Denial, joint in tandem with Belgian Industrial and Rhythmic noise legend Imminent (formerly Imminent Starvation). Manchester and London have a well versed musical rivalry so what better opportunity to do a true comparison (we’ll be doing a clinical review of which show [and crowd] was better, on all fronts, after the fact).
Years of Denial is the project of French musician Jerome Tcherneyan, in former times drummer of cult British band Piano Magic and music producer since 1997, and Czech
performance & music artist, lyricist, and singer-songwriter Barkosina Hanusova. Active since 2016 the duo has become known globally for their well-crafted sharp productions and electrifying live performances.
From the early 90s Olivier Moreau’s musical output has always been on the razors’ edge of Industrial and Techno. While contacts and exchanges between the scenes were sparse, he built bridges between the two switching from one to the other with ease. With his Imminent Starvation project he merged both styles to new levels. After the release of his ‘Nord’ album, he shortened his moniker to Imminent while sharpening and modernizing his sound. On the podium his many live actions around the globe have fulfilled his reputation by leaving his audience exhausted and ecstatic after his powerful and merciless sets.

‘SELN Recordings presents: Celebrating New Industrial, a 2026 event series spanning the breadth of the UK and coming to a grassroots music venue NEAR YOU. It is indeed a celebration in the purest form - international artists, local talent, and everything in between performing strong music LIVE. And it doesn’t stop there, all events will be livestreamed [audio only] via this site’s webplayer.
Industrial - a term so used over the past 50+ years it’s (fortunately) practically lost all meaning. Therefore, what better time to celebrate this wide-berth “definition” than now, and what better place than the United Kingdom (the home of misery, alongside numerous pioneers of the original “Industrial” tag).
There has been a steady stream of producers and artists of late who exist beyond the usual confines of music, creating something new within the realm of ritualistic, esoteric and “rhythm based” music. This series aims to highlight these musical movements and associated artists, alongside giving credence to those whose sound has been foundational. Basically NEW BLOOD + OGs.’

Sue Lèwig:
Sue Lèwig is German based artist originally hailing from Berlin. Blending post-techno, downbeat with industrial influences, her sound draws an exciting line between freetekno / schranz with an almost ethereal edge. Combined with mesmerizing live performances and soaring vocals, her music moves between hypnotic tension and an experimental techno energy.Following releases on BPitch, TM8 and Hector Oak’s KAOS it is a pleasure to welcome her for a debut Scotland show.
Junior Loves:
Junior Loves is a producer and DJ based in London. Throughout several well established releases on the legendary 5 Gate Temple label alongside his own self releases he has showcased his own steppers sound which is both reduced, tough and highly functional yet laden with spiritual depth.
Conrad Pack:
Conrad Pack runs SELN Recordings label alongside DJ Gonz, where his productions explore the fertile terrain between tuff, rooted soundsystem steppers and high-BPM techno. His evolving productions for Lost Domain explore a distorted, hard-edged but deep and dub-enriched techno sound with echoes of Obscurum, early Downwards and Axis.
Mellowdramatics:
Mellowdramatics is a DJ and operator of Tanum and Black Obsidian Sound Systems. As a selector their style is expansive and frenetic, flitting within darker mutations soundsystem music. Cutting their teeth at squat raves, they have since become a feature of the London club scene, alongside performing internationally including Ohm, Palais de Tokyo and MoMa PS1.

For Sunday May Day bank holiday Ormside hosts a full throttle night of music from a wide berth of highly esteemed artists.
Welcoming Tronto’s own Trailcam (latest alias of E-Saggila) whose output evokes a rich and dub-laden sound rooted within house and techno. Recent output on Northern Electronics and Short Span Records demonstrates a world constantly shifting with clean edges eroded by repetition and drifts alike. Having played throughout the EU circuit it’s a pleasure to welcome her to London for their Ormside debut.
Nkisi is the moniker of musician Melika Ngombe Kolongo - who, as no understatement, is a venue favourite. Influenced as much by ancient Kongo rhythms as rhythmic noise, Gabba and Belgian Hardcore her output reflects an acute focus on intensity.
Off the back of intense roadtesting throughout Europe, Conrad Pack arrives for his first London liveset [and in fact gig] of 2026. Pack co-runs SELN Recording where his productions explore the fertile terrain between tuff soundsystem steppers and high-BPM techno. His more recent productions explore a distorted, hard-edged and dub-enriched techno sound which has been showcased on imprints including Lost Domain and most recently Semantica Records.
Astrid Sonne is a composer hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark - now firmly located in London. Having garnered significant attention with her 2024 outing Great Doubt, highlighting the artist's ability to move from more abstract composition to a distinct vision of songwriting, she has also formulated a dedicated following via her monthly NTS residency. She will be closing the night with a focused DJ set.
Canje (formerly Skins) is a Tamil-Canadian artist based in London. Originally a producer for Metro Zu & Goth Money in the 2010s Canje has since pursued his own sound through his own solo projects including the 2022 LP “Never Cursed”. Following recent works for live scores and performances he will open the night with a signature DJ set.

At Strange Brew Bristol [25.04.26]
SELN hosts its debut Bristol venture as part of the ever expanding event series Celebrating New Industrial. Somewhat of a second spiritual homeland for SELN, it’s with great pleasure the label hosts its first official venture in the West Country’s capital.
Akua has cemented herself as one of the most distinctive techno DJs coming out of the U.S. in recent years. Forefronting the current generation of artists reviving the spirit of techno’s enduring velocity her no-compromise mindset presents an old-school sound while simultaneously keeping the pulse of the contemporary techno milieu.
Conrad Pack runs the SELN Recordings label with DJ Gonz and his productions there explore the terrain between tuff, rooted soundsystem steppers and high-BPM techno, while his evolving productions for Lost Domain explore a hard-edged and dub-enriched sound with echoes of early Axis. Pack has been focussing of late on live performance showcasing his distinct sonic vision of techno.
DJ Gonz co-runs SELN recordings where his releases perpetuate focused melodic riffs joint with heavy leading percussion. Drawing on influence from free-tekno, dub and kuduro, his sound is both pensive, driving whilst still rooted in a soundsystem tradition. Previous output include The Messenger on Wain Records and most recently Magical Negro Overdrive.
Vega is the founder of UVB-76 Music and DROOGS and a key affiliate of Ruffhouse. As both a DJ and producer he has played a central role in shaping the label’s sonic focus on atmospheric, deep, and technically refined drum & bass and techno. Active within Bristol’s underground scene and frequenting platforms such as SWU/Rinse FM his sets and productions explore the darker and emotive edges of bass music while maintaining a strong emphasis on precision, depth, and sound design.
