This is viewer discretion advised. This is one of the realest videos I have ever posted.
This is just a glimpse of what so many combat veterans have lived through during the post 911 era, through Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the war in Afghanistan. This is my truth. Our truth. A window into what we carried and what we still carry.

In 2003 we were sent to Ramadi as kids. Young faces. Young minds. Old responsibilities. Then from 2006 to 2007 we did a 15 month combat deployment in Northern Iraq Mosul. Every clip in this reel is real footage. Actual combat. Actual moments. No reenactments. No exaggeration. Just the raw reality of what shaped us.

I panned back and forth between Iraq and post deployment to show something most people never grasp. We were kids leading other kids in war. We felt that burden in our bones. The responsibility was heavy and we did not take it lightly. And to this day if our guys call we show up. That bond is permanent. You cannot teach it. You can only survive it together.

Coming home does not reset you. You carry that world inside you long after the uniforms are folded and the dust settles. My healing has been an ongoing commitment. Shadow work inner child work cognitive behavioral therapy meditation sound healing cold exposure. That is just some of what I do every day to function and to keep showing up for myself and for the people I love.

I share this not for sympathy and not for praise. I share it because the truth matters. This is a small window into what we lived through in Ramadi and Mosul and what so many combat veterans continue to live with long after the war ends.

“What would I do if I didn’t love you?”

That line hits somewhere deeper than words.

Because sometimes I look at you and genuinely wonder how I lived most of my life without you.

But maybe I didn’t.

Maybe some part of me already knew you.

Before we ever met, before I knew your name, before space and time finally brought us together, I was already dreaming of a woman like you.

Even in combat, when I pictured the life I hoped I’d make it home to, somehow you were there.

Then life caught up to the vision.

You came into my life and became one of my greatest activators. You believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself. You gave me space to fall apart without making me feel unsafe. Space to heal. Space to feel. Space to grow into the man I was always trying to become.

And through all of it, we’ve built. We’ve struggled. We’ve learned. We’ve grown.

Together.

That’s why “I love you” sometimes doesn’t feel big enough.

Because loving you doesn’t feel like something that started when we met.

It feels like recognition.

Like our souls already loved each other.

We were just waiting for space and time to catch up.

What would I do if I didn’t love you, baby?

I don’t know.

I think I always have.

There’s a different kind of gratitude that hits when you realize the love in your life isn’t luck… it’s alignment.

I love my wife deeply. Fiercely. Intentionally.

But here’s the truth.

I wasn’t able to fully receive that love
until I started doing the work to believe I was worthy of it.

It began with the soul work.
The inner child work.
The shadow work.
The plant based medicine.

And then it deepened.

Daily Transcendental Meditation.
Stillness.
Silence.
Returning to myself.

And other modalities that invited me inward
that allowed me to witness what I once avoided
and meet it with awareness instead of resistance.

That’s when everything shifted.

When I stopped armoring up.
When I stopped performing strength and started embodying it.
When I sat with the little boy inside me and told him he was safe.

That’s when my world changed.

Not only did I begin to receive love differently…
I began to believe I deserved it.

And for the first time in 41 years, I can honestly say this without hesitation:

I LOVE MYSELF.

Not the image.
Not the role.
Not the warrior mask.

Me.

Love feels different when you know you deserve it.
It feels steady. Grounded. Safe.

When you do the inner work, the outer world responds.

To my wife, it is a privilege to love you in this lifetime and the next.

As Within, So Without, As Above, So Below.

And So It Is.

This body has carried me through everything I’ve survived. It deserves my RESPECT.

I move it with PURPOSE. I NOURISH it with care. I give it REST.

Through MEDITATION, MOVEMENT, and FAITH, I’m learning to honor the whole of me.

MIND. BODY. SOUL.

With every breath, I’m learning to trust the flow of life and LET MY SPIRIT GUIDE THE WAY.

As Within, So Without.
As Above, So Below.

And So It Is.

The deeper I heal, the more I see what loving my son is teaching me.

His LOVE keeps me anchored when life feels heavy.

Loving him is helping me heal the little boy in me. Standing up for him is helping me find my voice. Watching him be himself reminds me of the FREEDOM I want him to keep, and the FREEDOM I’M LEARNING TO GIVE MYSELF.

That’s the LOVE guiding me forward. Through it, I’m finding my purpose.

I can’t change what I’ve lived through, but I can let it shape the LOVE I give from here. I’m grateful for the journey.

I’ve walked through darkness and forgotten my own LIGHT. Now I’m remembering who I am, and I’m standing in that truth.

My son’s love keeps helping me remember.

As Within, So Without.

What I lived through gave me WISDOM.
What I do with it gives me PURPOSE.

After my asana yoga, Transcendental Meditation, and prayers this morning, I felt called to the ocean. Bare feet on the earth, listening to the waves, reflecting on everything that brought me here.

Every obstacle taught me something I can use to help somebody else. That’s how I pay it forward.

The world needs more Love. There’s so much hate and negativity out there. Every day I wake up, I make a conscious effort to lead with Love.

When MEN HEAL, WOMEN HEAL.
When WOMEN HEAL, OUR CHILDREN HEAL.
And when OUR CHILDREN HEAL, THE WORLD HEALS.

That’s what I want to pass down.

As Within, So Without.
As Above, So Below.

And So It Is.

The more conscious I become, the more I realize we are LIMITLESS beings. There’s so much within us waiting for us to stop doubting it.

Growing up, I was in special ed. I had teachers tell me that I wasn’t smart, and I started to believe that about myself. I carried shame around needing extra help. Throughout my entire life, I let those labels projected onto me dictate what I was capable of. Now I’m giving myself the FREEDOM TO DISCOVER WHO I AM BEYOND THEM.

At 42 years old, I’m working towards my bachelor’s in Consciousness and Human Potential from MIU, Maharishi International University, where I’m attending the online program. And I’m proud of myself.

With the healing I’ve been doing and the work I’ve been putting in, I realize that every obstacle is just another chance to trust myself, to take action, and to keep going no matter how hard it gets.

I’m grateful for the privilege of learning and remembering how much I’ve had within me all along.

I’ll be 43 years old when I walk across that stage in June 2027. Having my wife by my side, the people who believed in me there, and my son watching will mean so much to me.

I want my son to know that:

WE NEVER STOP GROWING.
WE NEVER STOP LEARNING.
AND WE NEVER STOP WORKING TO BETTER OURSELVES AND THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

As Within, So Without.
As Above, So Below.

And So It Is.

The healing I do today becomes a part of what I pass down to my son.

My son came home the other day while I was on Sergeant War Dawg’s podcast, a fellow Marine combat veteran. He walked in with his friend while I was speaking my truth, and it hit me. He’s one of the biggest reasons I do this work.

I want him to see that I can be vulnerable, express my emotions, and still be strong. Every time I speak my truth, I know I’m making it easier for him to speak his.

The healing I’m doing now carries into how I raise him and what he passes down to his kids and theirs. That’s what breaking the cycle means to me.

I want my son to have the freedom and room to be authentically himself. To know his feelings have a place with me and his voice matters.

As Within, So Without.
As Above, So Below.

Son, I can’t take away every hard moment, but I’ll always be there to guide you and help you back up when you fall.

You’re going to make mistakes. Life is going to feel hard and unfair sometimes. But mistakes aren’t failures. They’re opportunities to learn and grow.

I’ll always walk beside you, hold your hand when you need it, and REMIND YOU WHO YOU ARE WHEN THE WORLD TRIES TO MAKE YOU FORGET.

My Love for you is unconditional. Not because of what you accomplish or achieve.

I Love you because you’re YOU.

KEEP BEING YOU. KEEP SHINING. KEEP GROWING.

And never let anyone tell you what you can or cannot become.

I BELIEVE IN YOU. ALWAYS.

Before the world tells my son who to be, I want him to remember who he is.

“Jump over this. Go.”

A little moment at the beach. A lesson for life.

I’m training his mind to trust himself. To make a sound decision and go. To believe in his abilities and trust himself enough to FLY.

You can feel fear and still take the leap.

The world will project its fears and limits onto you. Keep listening to the voice within.

You are LOVE. You are LIGHT. You are INFINITE.

Who you are is already enough.

And when doubt gets loud, remember: someone else’s limits don’t have to become yours.
