“Project 2025” has already been in full motion….. Take the Kids Online Safety Act/KOSA
This will use the guise of "youth data security" as a means of censorship to control what information children can access. The LGBTQ+ community is a blatant target of this seemingly new sesta/fosta 🥴
A classic example of misleading tactics that take away consent; using a hot button issue to cover up the true nature behind passing this bill...truthfully attacking marginalized populations as a ploy to serve ultra-right wing white extremist ideologies. Controlling even more then ever the information our kids learn & with the way they are butchering libraries/educational systems we know it isn’t for the better.

#project2025 details across more than 900 pages how Trump and his allies could dismantle and disrupt the US government. It suggests ridding the federal ranks of many appointed roles and stacking agencies instead with more political appointees aligned with and more beholden to Trump’s policy prescriptions.Led by the rightwing Heritage Foundation, the project showcases a federal government that cracks down intensely on immigration, vanquishes LGBTQ+ and abortion rights, diminishes environmental protections, overhauls financial policy and takes aggressive action against China.

Who is behind it?
The Heritage Foundation, an influential thinktank on the right, has created similar presidential roadmaps in the past, most notably the first Mandate for Leadership that heavily influenced Ronald Reagan’s administration in 1981. The foundation claims that Reagan gave copies of the manifesto to “every member of his Cabinet” and that nearly two-thirds of the policy recommendations it laid out were either “adopted or attempted” by Reagan.

“The book literally put the conservative movement and Reagan on the same page, and the revolution that followed might never have been, save for this band of committed and volunteer activists,” this year’s Mandate for Leadership says in its introduction.

While Heritage is in charge of the project, the group counts about 100 other conservative organizations as supporters or participants, which the project says is “unparalleled in the history of the conservative movement” for its size and scope. Most conservative organizations with influence on US politics are signed on, from the American Legislative Exchange Council and Center for Renewing America to Turning Point USA and Hillsdale College.

Heritage is led by Kevin Roberts, who previously led the Texas Public Policy Foundation

Non-consenual pelvic exams

In April 2024, Jackson celebrated a national decision to denounce non-consenual pelvic exams, noting that while the practice is illegal in some states, it still takes place in hospitals across the country. As of June 2019, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Oregon, Utah, and Virginia have outlawed examinations under anesthesia without specific consent. by @consentisthestandard

You can't imagine how backwards this ruling is. #louisianasupremecourt is absolutely rediculous for even thinking that this is appropriate or a good idea. AGAIN...How are we supposed to feel protected when entities get more protections than people!

Consent shows up in ALL ASPECTS of our lives outside of assault. How? Because by default, Non consent is how our systems run thus negatively impacting many lives. Governments around the world and especially our 🇺🇸government believe we shouldn't have a more direct say in our policies, how our government treats us as citizens, how our government operates globally, or where our tax dollars go, Which all affects our daily lives. We are operating from a standpoint of non consent everyday because of this "way of life" that we have been dealt instead of choosing or simply voting. consent is the standard wants to be the driving force in changing this archaic system we have operating our society.
We should have policies that our society needs in order to grow & progress instead of pushing campaigns or policies, that are validated by political parties, that violate human rights. Do you agree? by @consentisthestandard

Alabama receives hundreds of millions of dollars via a significant “labor-trafficking fee,” the complaint says, while incarcerated workers face labor violations in addition to abuse within the prison system.

She hit me with this quote with the quickness (NO IS A FULL SENTENCE!) and it zapped some life into me, remembering that I took this video (🤳🏽s/o @laurenjimenez) riding high off a performance at @theheartdept a while back now and THESE are my thoughts on “No” and the lies of people pleasing since taking this video …

🚫❤️🚫 “No” asks us to love ourselves as much as we love others, and sometimes more 🥸

🚫❤️🚫 “No” is required if we want to build a world of true consent. Coercion is real, rape is REAL, domination is real … and for me, self-denial and self-dismissal is also real. If I am in the mindset of “they matter more than me” then I am enabling a society and world that can and will harm me.

🚫❤️🚫 “No” is often the most truthful and therefore KIND things I can express. We’ve (recovering people pleasers) have been lied to. Giving people what they say they need from us / what we think they need from us is NOT a requirement! It’s an act of love. Once that act moves me into a place of resentment, distrust and unwanted risk, I am no longer being truthful or really loving. I am doing a coping mechanism. I am moving in fear and on autopilot. Love takes intention, honesty and sometimes love says “NO”❣️

🚫❤️🚫 “No” is courageous. Been watching Tanjiro from Demon Slayer go through problem solving and his epic demon battles and even through immense empathy, he has no problem when push comes to shove, saying “no, I will not stand for X.” Often I’m blinded by my feelings of sympathy for another human being (or demon lol) and in that journey I take trying to understand them/their experience, my values can seriously get lost. And worse, sometimes that sympathy or connection was elicited through manipulation that I wasn’t able to read. No more! 😙

So… ima make myself (and my friend) proud by standing in my “No” when it’s realistic, honest and true for me. When my “no” is desperately trying to love me, i am going to let it. " by @consentisthestandard

Question for you below....we don't endorse Cenks political campaign or views but our nation shouldn't be stealing our taxes to fund gen0cides, N@zis, settler apartheid states. We deserve to have our taxes go to the wellbeing of us citizens and fixing institutionalized harmful structures we have been begging to see a change in.

Attacks on Rafah city began after the Israeli army approved a ground offensive plan in southern Gaza on February 11.

According to local sources, approximately 40 simultaneous air strikes were conducted by Israeli warplanes, with heavy artillery and warship fire targeting civilian homes and mosques providing shelter to displaced Palestinians.

More than 100 people were killed, and hundreds others wounded.

We have a loooooot of questions for @mayor_bowser . Our first question is around the infrigment of people's choices to seem unhappy. If someone has a bad day.. their face tightens.. then walks past a stranger and said stranger,who naturally suffers from anxiety, begins to feel anxious... does the individual face potential charges for that?

There's using the law to create safety and then there's creating laws that reduce safety.

Could a DC resident sue Washington DC lawmakers for making them feel afraid?

The looseness of the wording in this plan needs more than a revisit...the whole plan needs to be thrown away.

If community safety is the issue... create more opportunities for community healing, restitution, input, land trusts, -driven interventions, local farms, etc

Protect DC residents the right way 💪🏿
